Also, I'm seeing a lot of issues listed in the reviews for this (and the hulkfit clone) for poor alignment issues, damage in shipping, and poor customer support. I have no horse in this race, but going through Amazon for the Fitness Reality might be a bit easier if there is a problem. I've never personally handled either.
I just ordered the Fitness Reality cage yesterday before seeing this one, but even if I saw this before, I'd probably do the same again. Not cause I know anything about Fitness Reality or their quality, but because of how f'ing awful BalanceFrom is. I ordered an expensive weight bench from them last year and after 6 months, the welding straight broke and the seat pads completely fell off. They were supposed to have a 2-year warranty and I tried calling and emailing several several several times and never received a response and was never able to get a hold of anyone at all. Awful company…so I hope Fitness Reality is a lot better.
I bought this item sometime ago last year from walmart and I returned it after short usage.
Problems I had:
Packaging was terrible and some parts were bent.
Construction itself is shaky due to thin metal...
Heavy gauge only applied to pull up part... everything else has thin metal.
Look at cage weight which stands at 145 pounds... if you look at quality racks with heavy gauge metal the weight itself would be >250 pounds...
I had to return 3 of these from Walmart due to absolutely terrible machining on the parts and bent posts, making some of the posts unusable. Also the safety bars cannot easily slide in and out because the frame was bent on all 3 units. The pulley system was also bad - the part that rolls on the pole would flake plastic. I bought the fitness reality instead and pulley system - machining was incredible and everything was in fantastic condition. Really happy with that one.
..side note though. The saftey catch bars sound like a farking metal chalkboard when changing out. Clearly wasnt made well and its kinda wonky at parts. However for 200 buvks you can deal with it

I got the Fitness Reality over a year ago, and I think I also would still prefer it over this for the following reasons:
I don't think I'll ever get strong enough to lift anything close to 800lbs, so the 1000lb capacity of this unit is of no benefit to weak little me.
The pull-up handle design on this unit seems like it could limit where people comfortably grip the handle. On the FR, the "cross-bars" just occupy a narrow part in the middle, so you can grip any position outside that.
The rear bottom cross-bar on this seems like it could interfere with the bench legs, depending on your bench dimensions, and in which position it needs to be for the exercise you are doing. For example, when doing incline presses, my bench's leg would be right where this unit's rear bottom cross-bar is.
The dip bars included with this unit are kind of in a fixed position, so it could either be too narrow or too wide for different people, so may not be equally useful to everybody.

I had similar issues but decided to keep mine bc I was able to sell the extra power racks(FedEx screwed up shipping) and basically got my whole setup for free.
Keep in mind when loading the weights on to keep it even on each side. This helps out alot with pulley smoothness
I told people to wait for this one to go on sale. Jump if you want one. This is what you're looking for unless you want to spend big bucks on a high end one.
Got this 6 months ago. It's not the highest quality of all time, but I have no major complaints with it. It holds lots of weight and will last a long time. There are enough attachments for whatever the average home gym user will need.
I have the lat pulldown and it has been holding up great for me. The special grip attachments are awesome too.
I'd also like to know this - my ceiling is 83" so I want to be sure it fits! The pic looks like the 81" measurement does NOT include the pull-up bar, but would love to know if this is accurate.
It'll fit but you'll have to put the lift bar upside down. I have an 83 Inch drop ceiling and it fits.
I ordered the fitness reality and then I saw this and ordered this as well. I tried to cancel the FR but it failed. So I tried canceling this rack but then I realized there they don't make it easy to cancel the order which makes me suspicious about BalanceFrom. Just my 2 cents.
Can anyone comment on some of the details that would help people ?
What are the hole sizes and separation.
And what are the brands of equipment that are compatible with this ( attachments)

Titan has some reasonably priced full-sized Olympic barbells.
For people who will get this, might be worth installing the pull up bar in reverse (inside): https://youtu.be/BkzZwFMHQxM?t=1
I've noticed people talked about the cage tipping when doing pull ups in the video above and here: https://youtu.be/DvO-QFizza0?t=285.
