For VR it helps out a lot, I would stick to the generic though as it's far cheaper and you get way more.
2) This "less drowsy" version isn't either of those drugs, but rather Meclizine. I find it to work reasonably well for nausea (boats/airplanes). It does make me a little drowsy, but not too much to function or drive. Also feels like it's a bit calming/anxiolytic to me too.
General recommendation is a few hours before you're expected to get nauseous, because once you do, it's hard to stop.
