Go to your pharmacy and ask for the generic alternative to Dramamine/nausea medicine. I do this at my local sam's club, and they give me a 100 ct. For like 3 bucks. My kids always need this on long road trips, and it works like a charm. I'll reply again if I find the bottle and name

Don't assume this to always be the case. There are different formulations all marketed under the name Dramamine. For instance, some are actually meclizine and others are simply ginger pills.

Tried this at Walmart today, and the guy said there is no generic. Obviously there is, but why would he lie to me? Is this a secret thing?

Thanks for this!! My dogs erupt like volcanos after just a few minutes in the car and Cerenia for motion sickness is close to $50 for 4 pills at the vet. I've been meaning to look for generic alternatives to Dramamine which only have Dimenhydrinate as the active ingredient.

Oh man, got some Kwells in the UK for motion sickness. They kept me from getting sick on tour buses through Ireland, North Ireland and Scotland because I was sleeping like a baby.

How well does this stuff work for FPS video games? Some devs are nice enough to throw an option to disable motion blur, which helps some. But some games like Dying Light, I can't even attempt to play. Anyone have any luck with this?

I was prescribed meclizine for severe dizziness. I guess it technically is effective for that purpose, in that I'm not dizzy if I'm completely unconscious, because that stuff knocks me completely out.

YMMV, of course, as each person is different, but I'd recommend trying one at home first before someone takes one while on vacation and ends up having to sleep the day off.
