Think this is a great price if you want the 2x 3.0Ah Octane batteries which are getting much harder to find and a 1/2" impact with 625ft-lbs of breakaway torque to do some more demanding jobs.

Previously purchased the 3/8" subcompact ($79) and the 2x 4.0Ah + charger ($99) . I felt like the 3/8" sub was a bit underpowered for some tire rotations I was doings (100ft lbs and 129 ft lbs lug nuts) so ended up purchasing this kit for $41 more. Will be returning the 3/8" sub and 4.0ah battery kit.

Sorry wrong link. This is the one you want to order with the Octane Batteries.

Not as good as the deal before for around 120 with just 1 battery, or is this a different model?

Thanks for posting, though.

I posted the deal with the 1/2" Hi Trq impact wrench with 1 4ax Max Output battery if thats what youre talking about. That was an amazing deal at $119. This deal is very good also. People love those Octane 3ah bats. For me, not a big deal since Max Tools and Max bats are the Ridgid platform and perform very well together and the Octane platform is discontinued.

If one is in the Ridgid platform, the LSA is the real appeal.

Otherwise, with a 'maximum torque output of 485 ft./lbs. of torque in forward and 620 ft./lbs. of torque in reverse,' this puts out considerably less power than the Milwaukee or DeWalt that you may or may not need.

Think this is a great price ........
few suggestions:

-generally not a good idea to put a url as the title.

-better to list salient points

--listed by importance these items SHOULD BE IN TITLE:

---item
---price
---store

so best is something like this:

$219, home depot, RIDGID, 18V OCTANE Lithium-Ion (2) 3.0 Ah Batteries and Charger Kit with OCTANE Brushless 1/2 in. Impact Wrench

what u have posted is not very useful. Especially from a member since 2007

Are they actually going to send octane batteries or will they replace with 4amp max output? I thought they were completely out of stock on octane batteries, seems odd.

Seems brand new octane batteries are popping up every lately. All of a sudden there are tons of them on ebay and prices have plummeted. I sold one of my Octane 6 Ah batteries for $215 a few months ago, now one seller is selling brand new ones for $150 and no one seems to be buying them. I just saw where a brand new 9 Ah sold for $275. They were going for over $400 just a couple months ago.

I remember when people were scrambling to get the Octane bats before they would be unavailable. Hence, I thought this deal would get more love. I guess others are moving on like me and dont find Octane bats that appealing given Max tools perform well with Max bats.

HD CS is not sure which bats will actually be shipped. For anyone needing bats and a good mid trq, its a good price no matter Octane 3ah or Max 4ah. If they send the Max 2ah or standard lithium bats, forget it.

That comment by Tooldeals needs links so we can compare prices and if his deals includes bats, and charger. The dewalt I think he is talking is $230 (Lowes) $250(HD) tool only.

I'm still waiting for the Max Output 8.0 Ah to be released. Rigid has been saying since last fall it would be out by spring 2022, now they are saying not until Oct/Nov. I have two new Octane 9.0 Ah batteries, but don't have the heart to open the packages! lol. I have two new 6.0 Ah Max Output batteries as well (still sealed) and interestingly they are the same exact size as the 4.0 Max Output batteries which makes no sense as they both have the same 18650 cells. Someone on the Ridgid forums claims to have taken them both apart and that they are the same exact batteries. I'm at a loss. I've email Ridgid and asked them on Facebook and got no reply. I find it hard to believe they could be the same battery, that a company would risk such shenanigans, but why are they the same size and weight? Hmmm...

That seems ridiculously stupid for a company to do without expecting to get caught. It'd be easy test without tearing them apart just by running a heat gun or something that uses a lot of juice until failure and timing the duration. That is... unless they're using the same batteries and putting some sort of capacity limiter on the 4.0. I doubt they'd do that but in today's manufacturing world it would hardly surprise me.

If there's any proof of what you're saying at all you should get a message out to torque test channel or one of the other popular YouTubers that specializes in battery tools. I'm sure they'd love to crack open one of those batteries on camera and expose their juicy secrets.

Interesting. Home depot actually has 2x 3.0 amp octane battery with charger starter set for $129.

Good idea. My two 6 Ah Max Output batteries are still sealed and I might end up selling them because I have way too many batteries. For awhile there I was on a battery buying binge whenever I saw a deal I couldn't pass up.

BTW, if you're interested here's the link to the debate about the 4 Ah and 6 Ah supposedly being the same.

Hmm, that guy seems like he's trolling pretty hard. I'd be interested in seeing the internals for myself but not interested enough to void the warranty on two batteries.
