This was probably the last Black & Decker matrix attachment that I did not have.

Previous cheapest price I ever saw was on eBay for about $80, including shipping.

just happened to search Amazon for Matrix attachments, and this popped up at the MSRP.

I think it is a SD, because it's half the price of anything else including eBay.

Yes, it's MSRP, but for years, these could only be bought at a 2x premium price, as Black n Decker stopped making them.

Check out eBay prices for these.

And I've checked Amazon before, and they definitely didn't have them in stock.

So either they restarted making them, or found older stock and started reselling them again, via Amazon.

I checked Home Depot, and they don't have it in stock, or even on their site (but they do have the Matrix system).

PS, looking at TV reviews on Amazon, they are all only around 6 months old or newer, which leads me to believe that they haven't been available for too long, even on Amazon.

Great find. I was just about to pull trigger on a skil hammer drill. Then I saw this. I was regretting I did not get this attachment 5 yrs ago when I bought the BD Matrix tool. Big thanks OP.

hammer drills, even the powerful ones, are really useless for drilling in concrete, even for the smallest tapcons. You really need a (small) SDS plus rotary hammer if you plan on drilling more than a couple holes. I have the matrix system and I can't imagine drilling concrete with this.

I wasn't able to find this attachment, when Sears cleared their Bolt On attachments out, also around 5 yrs ago. LoL.

So glad it came up at a reasonable price.
