It would be cheaper to check this into your flight and bring it with you to the beach if you are heading to the CA beaches.

yeah they have bike boxes you can buy or I seen someone just check it in as is on Alaska AIrlines.....so YMMV depending on the gate agents. Bear in mind this is America, so be prepared to deal with some jerk at the airport check in....esp out of LGA, ORD, and the usual shitholes.

For this price it's cheaper to buy one here in CA. You can either leave it unattended for 10 minutes or donate it at the end of your trip.

I got mine yesterday, but haven't had a chance to ride it as the handlebar is frozen in the wrong position. It is a very low quality bike, and not safe to ride.

The nuts and bowls are very hard to turn, and strip easily if forced. The bolt holding the handlebar in place is painted over and frozen. Trying to loosen it only strips the bolt head. The seat post cannot be tightened, and the seat falls to the lowest position when you sit on it. Multiple reports of the same problem in the reviews.

heheh noted. Ill try that next time im down in Huntington Beach. Those bike rental places charge a lot IMO.
