I'm not sure about the overall quality. However, I think 90 tooth (kobalt) is better than 72 tooth (Ace).
Also the marking on the Kobalt seems to be better and larger. My personal opinion.

I wish I'd known this before buying a 19mm for a specific purpose. Granted it wasn't expensive but it's still another tool to keep organized.

Gearwrench is a name brand. Kobalt is a Lowe's brand. 90 tooth vs 72 is kind of splitting hairs. It doesn't tell you how much slop one may have over the other. Either is fine, but if you want to hammer on a wrench; A) I wouldn't use a 12 point. B) I would use a plain wrench instead of a ratcheting one so it could transfer more of the shock instead of the mechanical bits absorbing some of it.

Get one with a reversible switch, they are much nicer plus they have a slight angle to them, just fyi for anyone looking to invest in their first set etc.

I think if the objective is to hammer on the wrench, then this is the wrong product to buy.
I agree the difference between the OP wrench and the Kobalt is minimal but that is all the information we have to make a somewhat informed decision on which one to buy. At the end of the day, it's a personal choice.

95% of ratcheting wrenches are 12-point.

Truth is, on a good bolt, the ratchet is probably going to break before you round off the bolt. But if you're working on an already damaged or highly rusted 6-point fastener, then, maybe, consider springing for 6-point tools.

Whats the point of a 12pt ratcheting wrench? I've never understood this, why not just make them a 6 point since they can be rotated?
