Park and Unior are two of the best manufacturers in the bike tool market. I, personally, have a Park stand that I love... but the price on bike stands, and Park stands, in particular, has really increased over the years. I was looking at Pro Bike Kit (PBK) recently and noticed this Unior stand with the (for me, preferable) clamp design, and an included metal tray (that Park charges extra to get) was $285.99 with free shipping. I didn't see anyone else that sold this stand close to PBK's price.

As a comparison --- Back Country is selling the clamp for this, alone (workbench or wall mount), on sale, for $276.79.

Sounds like a schill if I've ever seen one...

How does this $57 one compare? Bought it in Feb 2021 and has worked great.

I'm not sure if the OP a shill or not, but Unior is one of THE most premier bike tool manufacturers. And good stands do cost a lot, like a basic Park Tool PCS-9.3 https://www.parktool.com/product/...y=Portable
is $220, and Feedback sports mechanic - grade one is also $220 (https://www.feedbacksports.com/pr...air-stand/)

Now I have an older Park Tools stand (and it is amazing), and also cheaper stand like you linked to, and while the cheaper stand is ok for some basic maintenance like cleaning, washing, maybe basic tuneups, it will not stand to anything more that requires more torque or balance. If you need to replace a bottom bracket, or any adjustments that need to hold the bike without moving a good stand is invaluable. Cheaper stands will not hold a heavy bike like an e-bike or a downhill bike either. Good stand will also last a lifetime, and you can get replacement parts like new clamps etc..

Btw, if you have Aldi nearby, they sometimes have those cheap stands as one of their weekly specials, I got couple for under $30 each last time, and they are good deal for that price.

I'd be wary of using a $57 stand if you're riding an expensive bike. I have a Park PCS 10.3 and its rock solid.

That's not quick release. Those screw on clamps suck. Something like this would be much better: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PN2NLDW

Projecting much?

You're a 16 yr SD Member with 1483 posts and a rep of only 265... after 16 yrs? Hmmm... maybe because you claim OPs (like me) are shilling while it's you who is the shill. You provide a link to a garbage no-name Chinese bike stand that just so happens to appear to have an affiliate link embedded in it.

Here's a question for you. While you were trashing my post (and no, I'm no shill, and receive no money/discounts/products for that post) --- it's you who is trying to shill a no-name Chinese bike stand. Peace

I've got a $50 Amazon stand, didn't look to see if it's the one suggested above. Like all Chinese Amazon stuff you could win or lose. Mine turned out great, surprisingly solid construction. Totally made my life easier with the kids bikes and it's solid enough that I trust my $750 bike on it too. I do however understand not wanting to risk an expensive bike on a cheap stand.

I will say that it is sad how nitch and high priced the biking market has become. Middle tier products seem to be dissapearing. $285 may be a deal in current market but compared to say a garage workbench of similar quality / weight bearing construction / materials it should really be $100 - $150. I wish there were more value options with middle quality in biking.

Gotta laugh... there's been more about that cheap $57 garbage stand in this thread that the first commentor has an affiliate link to, than the actual deal I posted!

Yes, bike stands have gotten outrageously expensive... I bought my Park stand brand new off a bike store on eBay over a decade ago for $115... and it was one of the better Park's with this "gator" style clamping system. Now, it's hard to get the cheapest Park stand below $250. This Unior, which also comes with a tray, is selling for over $500 on some websites. And yes, you can get Feedback stands for less... and no-name shilled Chinese stands off Amazon... but surprised nobody is even acknowledging that PBK's price on this stand (with free shipping) is a good deal for THIS stand.

Ugh...

I just bought this one and have been very happy. Holds my full suspension MTB great. About to use it to throw on new Assegais on front and rear. It had the most modern design without being one of the more odd designs such as the 5x.xx dollar one.

Don't compensate for your bike skills with a f***ing stand!
