Read my previous post on my order experience and how I end up with $450 in rewards instead of the initial expectation $150 for doing nothing....!

New internet service is working fine. At the time of installation, tech advised that someone will come to bury the fiber in about two weeks. Well, got an email stating the cable will be buried middle of next month (yes, in July), approx 6 -7 weeks after service activation. Was concerned if cable exposed to heat, foot traffic, dogs, bobcats and cars driving over it will last until then.
And then today, I woke up to noise in my backyard. Viola, the AT&T contractor was busy burying the cable, about 8 days after service activation. The contractor was burying a completely different fiber line and left the presently active one untouched. Was told that a tech from AT&T will be come by in a day or two to disconnect the original fiber line and connect the newly buried fiber line.
One hour later, a knock on the door and AT&T is ready to connect the buried fiber line. 15 minutes later, the buried fiber line is live and original fiber line is taken away.
No complaints here. Service works fine, and work has been completed. Just confused about all of the incorrect dates. For me doing WFH, not an issue. But imagine if you are at work and find out you missed these surprises....would be frustrating

Now for the rewards card. Was informed originally that it would take a month or so to get the rewards. Well, an email popped up earlier this week educating me on the process to get the rewards and to watch my email for updates. And then a new email last night with details to go and claim my rewards. No complaints again. Rewards in less than 10 days. Started the online claim process and was presented a page asking me to upload current bill with ETF details. What the heck?
Abandoned the web page and called the Rewards number. 10 minutes later, I am told the system shows only $400 of rewards, $50 less than promised. But wait, the CSR advises that they will research and provide an update within 30 days about the missing $50 rewards. Cool! Since I called, they will print a physical rewards card and send it via snail mail. Works for me!
Again a confusing mess where actual dates are vastly different than advised time frames. No complaints but am wondering if the new AT&T motto is built around under-promising and then surprising the customer.

Wait.. I couldn't get mine scheduled because it auto defaulted to self install. Where were you able to schedule your switch?
The website took me straight to a scheduling option upon checking out

ACTNOW for an extra hundo. You're welcome nerds.
Does this only work if you are charged an Early Termination Fee? I just received this message about claiming the reward card...

"To process this reward you must submit a complete copy of your previous providers internet bill with a matching last name and/or service address dated within 60 days of your AT&T order date showing ETF (Early Termination Fee). Customers will be eligible to receive the amount of their actual ETF rounded up to the nearest $10 increment."

So I have ATT Fiber right now because it's the only internet my apartment complex allows. Could I potentially just cancel that service and sign up for a new service and get the $300? Anyone try this yet,

I ordered fiber and scheduled. When can I expect to see anything regarding the reward card?
Update: chatted with a rep and had them email me a confirmation statement that I will receive the $300 GC. Expected within 30 days of activation, with instructions being sent for redemption 10 days before that.

Man I remember when they had it at $45 per month instead at the end of 2021, i guess that was either way too cheap, or they realized people will fork over much more for fiber. We really need regional ISP to push prices down, or something how there's MVNO services for cell services

Im also seeing the same for my reward link, what should we do now ? Any ideas
Skip that Reward 1. There are other rewards available ( Reward 2 and 3). Reward 1 is "Switch" reward for cancelling service that has ETF (annual contract). If you dont have it, then dont need to claim it.

No. ACTNOW reward is independent from the "switch" reward. If you dont pay ETF with previous internet provider, then skip/dont claim that reward; move on to other ones.

I was hoping to bundle this order with Directv streaming. Unless I missed something it seems that ordering a package thru AT&T is more expensive than going thru Directv. Is that true? Anyone find a bundle deal?

I am going to pull the trigger on this deal. Currently I have T-mobile Internet with average speed about 70mbps during the day.

Pretty unrelated, but be weary of scammers wanting your att reward cards. Somehow scammers find out you're getting cards before you get them and do a darn good job of getting your card number. Seems super fishy they knew about it, but just a heads up for any takers on offers like this. Caught me completely off guard.

Just signed up for it. Am I supposed to get the rewards after they install the fiber line and modem?

I did the 300mpbs with the $200 + $100 + $100 (didn't see the $50 until it was too late). I received 3 reward emails about a week later for all three (maybe a week and a half). It also included the early termination fee rebate option so I did that to get another $60 back that I had to pay xfinity.

Side note: download speed has consistently been between 250-350mbps its been on the higher end more likely than not
