Our friends who lives literally across the main street from us have AT&T Fiber, but the service is not available for us. What the hell? Did they just run their fiber up to across the street and say let's screw that whole neighborhood over there? It's literally only about 300ft away.

Used to pay $60 with equipment for 1G line that got increased to $70 a few months back. ATT has been raising price on that.

Called their customer retention department, they are only able to offer me $250 if I transfer service to a new apartment.

Is using a different email sufficient to get the $450 in rewards? I went through the online process, which asks for my SSN, so I am a bit concerned if I sign up for new service, I may not get the $450 in rewards as I am not a new customer. Has anyone managed to get the $450 in rewards by signing up using a different email address despite being an existing customer?

Got my line installed today. They went above and beyond to make it happen. There were so many issues due to them not being able to access backyards next to my house, so they had to bring in 4 additional guys to finish the job on time.

That happened to me and it turned out it was because of my credit reports were frozen. I had to unfreeze all 3 and then everything went through fine.

Already have ATT Fiber, just signed up for this with another member of the household as my 12 month promo expires in 2 weeks. In for $450 credits. Realized, the best thing to do is keep switching internet accounts in different names of householders. The only thin you lose is maybe 1-2 days of internet as they cannot activate the new account until you cancel the old one. Did this last year and got $55/month for 12 months for 500mbps with $300 in gift cards.
It seems like if there is already service in your address. They only provide option for self-install kit mailed to you instead of having technician coming to install. Is their self install kit easy to do?

You would need the basics wiring all done. If so, then installing the modem and others are easy. If you don't have the basic wire plumbing done ( fiber from the nearest splitter outside into your house, either through basement or attic) then you probably won't be able to do it by yourself. Basically, if you see a fiber optic port in the wall, then you are good to go with the self install kit.

I'm switching from Xfinity right now and I'm getting $450.
- $200 for ordering internet online
- $50 for placing an order online
- $100 XTRA100 promo code
- $100 ACTNOW

I'm chatting with an agent who is going to combine all of them into one card for me. They also confirmed I can do the ETF reimbursement. I asked if there's any better promos and they said $450 is the absolute highest available, so YMMV.

I never got my $150 from 6months ago, and they say it could not be stacked reason as denied.
Maybe it's because I also used rak_ten $150 cash back, that I did get.

Seems you only get this reward , IF you have an ETF (Early Termination Fee) from your previous ISP. You have to upload a copy of the bill. Would have been nice to have this detail up front, ...yes I know it is in the fine print when you click open everything and read it. But would have still been nice to have this info in the steps up front. I think some folks are going to be sadly disappointed. still not a bad deal IF you have an ETF that qualifies

My Experience:
First guy rescheduled as running late, said bushes along the phone pole did not let him put up a ladder securely. So had to reschedule again and I trimmed bushes down.

Got rescheduled again as running later (was Dec and it gets dark early even in Florida)
3rd try running really late, so I prepared flood lights.
They are employees and not some fly by night independent contractors, so a plus.

I crawled up in attic and help him feed fiber down to a centrally located closet in my house.

As their modem is also a router but I kept my router daisy-chained as it has movie server function, but neither of us knew why the old router stopped working,
I later found that the domain had moved to 192.168.200.1 not .100.1 anymore
and after a software reset, it works just fine.

Getting 398/390 on my 300 plan, $45 a month with autopay, Equipment fee included.
Their App is called Smart Home Manager, that let you test speed remotely.

Yes I currently have ATT but the rate is going to expire in a week. So I am planning on register using a family member's name. The sign up page detects there is already ATT service running in my address so I can only select self install kit

I would still go for At&t for the sheer reliability of fiber optics and the bi directional synchronous speeds. This is coming from a decade old spectrum client who've lost multiple clients due to unreliable nature of cable copper lines.

My experience was completely different from yours. Signed up for service on May 25th, installed around May 27th. Only got the 50 code. And contacted the agent online who told me I did not have other codes attached to my account. Now I am in a phone call which takes forever to get a real person...

I signed up for service on June 9th, had service installed June 11th, and redeemed my rewards between 3-5 days after installation (they came in a couple batches to redeem). I've already received three of my cards ($50, $200, and $100), and my final $100 card shows it just shipped. I have no doubt plenty of people have had issues with this type of promotion, but for me at least it seems I'm getting the full promised amount (assuming the last card shows up). Either way, it's always a good idea to keep records of everything in case something goes wrong.

Yeah I honestly hate spectrum. We drop connection like 2 or more times per day no matter how many times we swap the modem/router. And on top of that, we're paying for 200 mbps but rarely get over 50 lol
