Sure, but is it enough to justify spending almost 2x as much? I agree blacks are better, but honestly the blacks on this Hisense are 90% as good as OLEDS. 10% gain isn't worth 2x cost to me.
Solid deal on an amazing TV. Got mine for $899 last year and that was a deal. Highly recommended. Yes you could spend 2x as much for OLED and get a slight performance gain, but probably not worth it for most people.
I dont know what your needs are...but generally speaking comparing OLED to LCD is apples and oranges to me

This Hisense seems to be a very good buy the $849

I am going to say there is more than a slight difference between this TV and OLED
The black levels alone in OLED are on another level than this TV

I do personally like the Samsung QN90A better...but I dont think its worth more than say $300 more than this Hisense

I'm also considering the $999 Sony X90J and $1600 Sony OLED.

Little nervous about Hisense reliability, and needing to do lots of tweaking, but reviews-wise it's the best deal of the three.

Isn't this model similar to H9? The H9 was on sale for around $650 not too along ago.

I dont think its 90% as good. I also think the color saturation and shadow detail are better on an OLED as well, so there is more to it than just the black levels
This coming a person that has both a couple of OLED's and a flagship Sony LCD in their home
In fact I think its somewhat of an apples and oranges comparison

The better panel to compare would be the Samsung QN90a

Bought this TV earlier this year and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. $849 is great price for this 65" ULED.

I bought a Sony x950h (Costco numbers) for my game room and it's been my favorite tv. I watch that tv more than the living room tv.

Man, I've gotta go demo an OLED ... I have the 55" version of this and the blacks look like absolutely black ink. How much blacker can black get??
