I bought some MHW packs through their sale a few weeks ago. I bought "regular" and "female" packs for me and my wife. The straps on the women's versions are slightly different, but I have had no problem using hers. If they weren't labeled separately on the store, I would not notice any difference.
What's the difference between male and female backpacks?
I have 28L camp4 for women. The women version looks more feminine and a bit shorter which looks better on me (5'6"). To me, it's one of the best backpacks for that price range I have ever had. Compared to Osprey, this camp 4 backpack (not all mountain hardware backpack) is very comparable (my opinion lol). Lightweight, roomy, a lot of useful pockets (you will love the hidden pocket on the top), main compartment which can be unzipped all the way down from one side. Normally it's 50s when it's on sale.

This is still a good deal since it's few bucks cheaper lol.

I got the 30L J Tree last time it was on sale. For the price so far it's been a good backpack! I used it as a work pack, but has enough space to be used as a weekender bag as well. The main compartment is huge, but with only two internal pockets and two pen holders. The laptop pocket is lined and very soft. The built quality seems good. I can fit a laptop, charger, lunch bag, a drone in its case and jacket in there and still have space left. So if you're looking for a spacious backpack, this might be a winner for you too!

One of their videos describe M vs F with F being small paneled, and ergonomically designed short shoulder straps and of course in some cases it being pink.

With technical packs, usually the torso length on women's packs is a bit shorter. The shoulder straps might be a little narrower as well.

Sometimes they will even sell long and short versions, especially on the mens side (since a 5'4 dude isn't going to fit the same pack as a guy who is 6'2).

Doesn't really matter much for casual use, but if you are trying to fit the pack perfectly so that the hip belt lands in the right spot when the shoulder straps are in a comfortable position and at a good angle for supporting the weight, then you might want the sizing to be different.

Otherwise sometimes the difference is just color.

How's the actual quality of these backpacks? I can't really seem to find any reviews online of their stuff. Mostly curious about the Tallac and Alcove as every day packs

Yeah, I chatted them and they have an issue with signups right now. The chat advisor recommended waiting 24 hours.
