Not all 3050's are the same.
30 series mobile graphics cards are available at a variety of power configurations.
The higher power TGP 3050 will be faster than the lower power TGP 3050.
Usually, the higher power it is, the thicker and heavier the cooling solution, and therefor the laptop, will be.
Any other questions?

The screen isn't amazing as far as colors go but the 120hz is smooth and responsive to my eyes. The 165hz screen models of this laptop have overall better screens with a lower response rate, but I've played Apex on this at medium settings at 90+fps and no noticeable input lag or anything. Darker areas tend to get a little smeary but not bad.
The USB 2.0 ports are only on the 3050/ti models, the 3060 models have all 3.0. You have to remember people are going to be plugging a mouse and headset in, and possibly even a keyboard, which all only need USB 2.0. Those devices tend to work better on a 2.0 connection anyways. A USB-C hub isn't that expensive if you need more than two usb 3 ports at once. (Theres a USB 3.0 A port and the 3.2 gen1 USB C port on the back)
I will say I'm probably going to sell mine when the students come back to college in my area to put that money towards a 3060 model laptop, this thing runs great but I want the extra VRAM for future proofing. And I know college kids, most would rather spend the extra money to buy an already upgraded device than go through the minimal effort of upgrading it themselves lol.
The more watts your GPU has to use, the more frames per second you will get.
Don't expect a lot of frames from entry level rtx hardware, but it should be playable with minimal rtx settings.

I was under the impression 3.0 was only all upsides.
