You can and should keep your kids in a five point harness seat for way longer.

Each kid is diff. Age, weight, and height are all factors.
If you can afford Diono 3RXT, it's the best one all around.

I've got a 36# 4.5 year old. He's in a Graco slim or Britax. Doesn't seem bad but I could see him needing something different soon

Is this good for a 5-6 years old? I need to get her a new car seat nd was looking at the greco 4EVER, but ah is too big to take full advance of all of it since she is over 40 pounds and that chair cost at least $200. Does it make sense to invest so much vs this one?

Really comes down to height as convertibles become uncomfortable for kids around 45"..., our oldest sized out of a convertible at 3, our youngest at 4. In both cases the shoulders maxed out so was unsafe for shoulder straps

Doesn't look like you can use this one for the plane without the 5 point harness.
It seems other similar ones (with removable back) are $45 now (look on amazon, walmart). So I'd say this is Meh. Good find though.

I'm 43 and I personally drive my car backwards with a 5-point Simpson harness and Sparco racing seat. By far the safest thing. For me, at least. Wink

These seats are awesome. Once your kid outgrows the top setting on the 5-pt, this is typically the next step. And they last for several years.

This seems like a good deal for my almost 8 yo. He doesn't like just sitting on a booster without the head support. Makes it hard for him to fall asleep.

What's the expiration date on these I wonder.
