Saw this browsing my local Walmart, so picked one up. I can never find any of my various Dremel accessories I purchased separately any time I need them, so this seems pretty complete as a starter kit for DIY projects.

Peace

Harborfreight wants $20 for a 276 piece kit of similar quality. Dremel brand kits of similar size start around $30. Considering the case and the assortment, I'd say this kit is a savings of about $5, nothing crazy.
If these are like the ones that come with the hypertough rotary tool kit, they are low quality but workable. My main issue was the grinding stones are glued on to the shaft and come off quickly when grinding even thin sheet steel, looking like the glue is melting. That said, I think all the cheap dremel kits are like that and this is priced well.
I'm tempted to get it just for the box. The one I have with my current rotary tool doesn't latch well and I recently spent 20 minutes emptying my tool bag to fish out all my bits.

I second this. I got this yesterday. Was cutting off the wire shelves (everbilt ones from Home Depot) to length. Had last dremel cut of wheel that did one shelf like a hot knife thru a butter. Next up was this hyper tough reinforced cut of wheels. I'd say they are like a room temperature knife thru a frozen butter block. 50% more time.. if not worse. Works tho. Just gotta be patient.

Stop wasting money on garbage rotary tool kits.

These were probably made in 1986. Lol.

While I don't care for newer Dremels, their accessories are still FAR better, and cost effective, when compared to this junk. Especially when you consider that you'll likely only use 10-20% of the items that come with it.

Right off the bat, you can toss out the polish/pads l, grinding stones, cutoffs, and sanding sleeves. Because all of those will fall apart in a matter of seconds.

Now look at everything else in the kit.... will you use those?

Put this $10 towards good accessories from Dremel. They'll do much more for you in your RTX, Milwaukee 12v, or Bosch 12v rotary tools. If you don't have one of those 3, then you deserve this $9 kit! Lmao 🤣 😜 😜 jk. I learned the hard way myself.

Thanks, I rarely use my rotary tool, had a use last weekend but I couldn't find the little pin to hold a cut off wheel. So hopefully this has that.

If your referring to the 1/8" mandrel with the screw through the end then yes this has one

Yeah I purchased 4 of them when they were $6 also! I still have 2 kits left from last year so I am good for a few years! I don't use my corded Dremel or M12 Milwaukee Rotary tool as much as I used to because of patience. I will typically use one of my angle Grinders or even Die Grinders with a cut off wheel and I have a old bench grinder I converted into a metal polisher.

Some have mentioned the accessories as crap but I haven't used them enough to comment. One thing though is whenever I am cutting metal I used to use just safety glasses (not goggles) but now use the safety glasses under a full face shield.

3D Print Molds and put them in a Milwaukee deep clear packout storage case. Insanely clean and will give you pride opening it if you're really obsessed about being clean like me

Honestly - I'm over it for little stuff that's this cheap - I'm not going to let perfect be the enemy of good. I'm 4 months into modeling and printing modular storage for a Rockler Pack Rack to get all my hand tools out of an ancient Craftsman rolling cabinet, and it will probably be winter before I get it done. The key is that I love the concept (similar to Adam Savages rolling tool storage), but there are no high-density storage options for the Rack.

For this...the time it would take to model everything I want is nowhere near the value that this $10 case gives. I just got mine two days ago and I'll likely go through my bits and trash the questionable ones; same with the included bits in this pack. The box is large enough to easy carry and store on my workbench or in one of the workbench drawers, unlike a full size Packout. Not to mention being $50-100 cheaper.
