Was tempted to buy when this dropped to $199 a couple of months ago but have been waiting, thinking it would drop more as the Platinum Gen 4 started to ship. Believe $180 may be close to the lowest price we may see as Gold Gen 3 inventory is cleared out. My LG Gram only supports Gen 3 so no need to buy Gen 4 except for future proofing. But, the real draw here is the power efficiency making this one of the best available options for laptops.

I have their 512gb in my desktop (about to add the 1gig), and have their 1 gig in my laptop. They much cooler, speed is amazing and they are one of the largest manufacturers. I don't even look for anything else anymore
