I have this keyboard. I bought it for 39.99 on sale in december of 2022. I had a 5 dollar gift certificate that made the deal sweeter at best buy. Rtings gave it a 8.4 out of 10. https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/r...occat/pyro

Amazing all around for my work from home setup and gaming with my steam deck in dock mode. I recommend this keyboard. The volume dial is so convenient for teams calls. The software is easy to reprogram the LEDs. Swarm i believe is the program. Leds are bright. They dim after 15 minutes or so of no use. I use the keyboard around 6 to 8 hours a day Monday through Friday. LEDs are going strong. The typing is flawless, a bit loud as it is not a mushy membrane. Overall i recommend and for 40 bucks you have a solid keyboard. Roccat is a solid brand!

Hard to beat $35 on a mechanical keyboard. Prices have really went up.

Making the switch to mechanical is worth it. I've been using a Decogear with cherry red switches for several years, but also have a Corsair as a backup.

However before you buy a keyboard, go to Best Buy and test a bunch out. Everyone has a different fit that is right for them. Sometimes the pad won't feel right or the tactile sensation is off.

Any indication as to whether this keyboard's backlight is supported by the Windows 11 Dyanmic Lighting control?

Good luck!

For some reason despite spending far too much money on tech stuff I hate spending money on peripherals.

Bought this on a previous sale and it's been solid. I've never had an extremely expensive keyboard to compare to but several other mechanical budget boards and this one is up there. It is -extremely- sensitive but that's part of the game with red switches, for better or worse. Not sure about longevity but no issues so far. For the price an excellent keyboard.

If the switches were hot-swappable I would buy this immediately. This is a good deal otherwise. I got the EVGA Z15 last time, and my only complaint is the branding on the keyboard.

I replaced mine with Gateron whites and it's amazing. I agree with you on the branding.

Can use this for work? Do I have to install software, or can I plug and play? I have to get IT involved if I have to install software on my work PC.

My last few mice have been Roccat and I've generally been happy with them. Now I'm looking to replace my beloved Microsoft Sidewinder X4 keyboard that I've had for 12 years. I would get this in a heartbeat, but no macro keys kills it for me, especially since it's labeled as a gaming keyboard.

If you add orings to the stem of the keycap (assuming this is Cherry compatible), it won't make any bottoming out noise

This deal seems to be too good to be true. I'm tempted to pull the trigger, but I'm curious to know how other owners' experience have been using this keyboard.
