Why does BackFromTheDead21 call it Pacific Veggie hack?
You are doing it correctly. It's possible that in some markets they charge more for meat than vegetable toppings, maybe that's what is happening for you. There also may be a cap in some markets on how many subs you can do. In most markets, pacific veggie remove x number of toppings, replace with x number of meat, should be around $10.50.
If you want to test it further you can try removing only 2 veg and replacing with 2 meat and see what happens. You can also try removing a couple of the veggies and replacing with the same number of other veggies or cheddar cheese etc.
Yeah worth the $7.99 coupon and the premium stuff and sauce added, we're usually around $10-$10.50.
With the half off coupon we're at around $9.20... So not much different but some savings.
For either pizza you could also add onions, I like them but my family says no to them.

The Pacific Veggie hack used to work here but the last time we did it they called us asking if we were serious, and then when we picked it up the manager politely told us that they wouldn't allow it again. Fair enough. I tried it once just to test awhile later and it didn't work anymore (price went sky high).
In the past year or so, though, they stopped allowing you to combine the $5.99 and $7.99 deal. We'd always get 2 mediums and 1 large and have leftovers to take with work and/or enough to have with a salad the next day. Now you can't order both online. Our location will do it over the phone, though. The problem with phone ordering is that it's easier for them to mess up the order. That's always been what I like about doing it online. It's usually way too noisy in the store for a clear phone conversation and I don't think I've ever gotten a wrong order since I started doing it online.

To all the people saying watch the calories, you're a few decades behind nutritional science. All of that has done nothing for people's waists and weights. Roughly speaking, you need to run ~1.5 mi. at a 10 mins/mi. pace for every slice of a large pizza you eat. You need to walk ~5 mi. to walk off a can of soda. And when you work out, you often feel more appetite. I don't know of anyone who really does that. People who can do that, don't eat junk. Those who eat junk, can't or don't work out.
What nutritionists have found is that it's not how many calories, but what kind of calories you eat. Getting nutrition from veggies is different from red meat is different from pizzas (processed foods). Drunk calories, from beverages, is the worst. Thus the "beer belly" cliche, but also applies to "natural" juices.
Best you can do is eat whole & minimally processed foods. Grab an orange instead of OJ. Eat a chicken instead of nuggets. Drink water instead of any sweet drinks, even those with artificial sweeteners.
