Anyone have comments on the iHome Autovac Nova?
Haven't seen any marks made by the bot yet, only issue I had so far was a single couch I have that is just high enough for it to get under, but too short for it to use the LIDAR. I was able to fix that by putting a bed riser underneath to raise the fabric slightly and it works fine under there now.

To compensate, all robot vacuums have a side brush that "pushes" dirt towards the inside of the robot, getting such dirt in range of the brush. But the the side brush doesn't work on carpet, so due to the design of this robot and the rather small brush in the center, the brush will physically never reach within 3-4" of distance to the wall, no matter how hard the robot rams into things. Can it ram into things? Sounds like it does. Will the bottom brush never get within 3-4" of the walls? Yeah, that too. Those arguments are inclusive, not mutually exclusive.

This $165 Wyze, on the other hand, has been great so far. It doesn't bump hard into anything; instead, it gets really close and then moves on. The mapping is amazing and clearly shows the areas it covered. It fully explored my house and then automatically returned home without issue. Well, I guess the only issue is it can't handle power cords (gets stuck), but you have to buy a much more expensive robot for that feature.

Used mine for the 1st time last night. It did 2 updates and mapped my floor plan. It was able to get onto a thick area rug my dumb roomba wasn't able to. I can turn it on and off with Alexa. It did lose wifi connection today but I reset it and working again. I placed a cheap transparent place mat under the charging dock in case it marks up the floor. So good so far!
