Wow, that's an incredible price! We love our robot vacuum. The tab that locks the dustbin in place broke on ours awhile back, and because the dustbin was backordered, they just replaced the entire vacuum. 😳 Vacuum sometimes has weird pathfinding around obstacles. The map sometimes gets messed up, but we resolve it by just picking the unit up and putting it back on the charger, and it corrects itself. 99% of the time, we send it out to vacuum, forget about it completely, and come back to clean floors! We have mostly wood floors, but previously had carpet, and it's done great on both, in our experience.

Just felt like posting because we really like ours, so call me a Robot Vacuum evangelist, I guess. lol

I wouldn't touch this. I wanted to buy this around Black Friday but stumbled upon this thread.

https://forums.wyzecam.com/t/robo.../183918/19

It's an ongoing issue that wyze won't address.

Ok, let me explain that part... The location of the brush in the center (bottom of the robot) is 3-4" away from the most outer circumference of the robot. This is why Neato has some raving reviews because the D shaped front allowed a bigger brush which was closer to covering all the path under the robot. Looking at my Neato right now, and even with the D shape, the brush will never reach within 1.5" of the wall, the brush physically can't get there.

To compensate, all robot vacuums have a side brush that "pushes" dirt towards the inside of the robot, getting such dirt in range of the brush. But the the side brush doesn't work on carpet, so due to the design of this robot and the rather small brush in the center, the brush will physically never reach within 3-4" of distance to the wall, no matter how hard the robot rams into things. Can it ram into things? Sounds like it does. Will the bottom brush never get within 3-4" of the walls? Yeah, that too. Those arguments are inclusive, not mutually exclusive.
This bot has a spinning brush near the front right of it that sticks out past the robot slightly and it uses this corner to go against the edge, so it pushes any dust away from the wall to the center roller.. If that's what you're talking about. *Oh nvm, none of my houses have carpet anymore, so I didn't realize that is an issue.

How does this compare to the Neato D6 deal at Lowe's for $200?

This is a great vacuum even at the $200 I paid for it.

My only minor complaint is that the announcements like 'starting cleaning' are very loud and cannot be turned off. The feature exists in the beta app, but the main branch app hasn't been updated in months.
I received the vacuum yesterday and was able to turn off the voice announcements by turning on Do Not Disturb. I don't have the beta, just the normal app.

Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > Turn Off Voice Prompts

Anybody upgrade to these from the cheaper "bounce around" Eufy vacuums? I have two of the Eufy ones but they often get stuck and make a ton of noise trying to correct itself. Thanks in advance !
Yes and actually we still have one of those cheaper Eufy ones that we run downstairs and this specific one for upstairs. I LOVE this one and highly recommend it as an upgrade. The room mapping is awesome and pretty accurate. It cleans much more efficiently. And it cleans better since it gets every bit of the room. You can place No Go zones in areas you don't want it to go. We've had it close to a year now and no regrets.

FWIW, I got this about a year ago on a similar deal. I was super excited about the Lidar feature. But was extremely disappointed with the software since it had a hard time separating out the different rooms in my single floor layout. As a result, I could not make the robot only clean the living room are only clean the kitchen. The way to separate out the rooms is very poorly designed. That was a dealbreaker for me since we often select specific rooms to clean rather than the whole house. Technical Support was useless since they used delay tactics by treating me like a naive user. I replaced it with the 360 s5 Lidar robot and extremely happy

FYI You can merge and split rooms super easily in the app if you edit your map - you can also rename rooms too. I just received this vacuum Friday and so far it's been awesome.

I wonder, what is frequency that most of you run your vac ( vacuum with or without mapping) ?

I can confirm the tires on this one leaving marks/ tracks. It does so on all sort of floors- carpet, LVP and hardwood floors. Also as another SDer mentioned, when it's stuck, say trying to climb something, it leaves marks. I've got used to setting no go zones to stop it from leaving tracks. Other than that, not much complaints.

Speaking of which, anyone knows where to get replacement filter for the trash compartment?

Everyone has already commented on this, I've been using mine for the past year. No dogs and mostly wood floor but this thing is great. The Lidar make a big difference in the mapping, its really cool. Would recommend for this price.

I bought 2 last week reading the comments here. Overall, it's a decent product but I have to say it's pretty trash at avoiding obstacles! It went over my cat food box and cat water box which are substantially large in size. In general, it just does not avoid any obstacles besides walls.

While true in many cases, it fails when the rooms are laid out in an semi open floor plan

I'm a bit of a Wyze fanboy, and preordered this - for more money than this deal. It was $199 I think, can't remember. Anyway, I've used it at work (1,000 sq ft of tile and carpet) for over a year and love it.
