To compensate, all robot vacuums have a side brush that "pushes" dirt towards the inside of the robot, getting such dirt in range of the brush. But the the side brush doesn't work on carpet, so due to the design of this robot and the rather small brush in the center, the brush will physically never reach within 3-4" of distance to the wall, no matter how hard the robot rams into things. Can it ram into things? Sounds like it does. Will the bottom brush never get within 3-4" of the walls? Yeah, that too. Those arguments are inclusive, not mutually exclusive.
My only minor complaint is that the announcements like 'starting cleaning' are very loud and cannot be turned off. The feature exists in the beta app, but the main branch app hasn't been updated in months.
Go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > Turn Off Voice Prompts
