Wow, that's an incredible price! We love our robot vacuum. The tab that locks the dustbin in place broke on ours awhile back, and because the dustbin was backordered, they just replaced the entire vacuum. 😳 Vacuum sometimes has weird pathfinding around obstacles. The map sometimes gets messed up, but we resolve it by just picking the unit up and putting it back on the charger, and it corrects itself. 99% of the time, we send it out to vacuum, forget about it completely, and come back to clean floors! We have mostly wood floors, but previously had carpet, and it's done great on both, in our experience.

Just felt like posting because we really like ours, so call me a Robot Vacuum evangelist, I guess. lol

I wouldn't touch this. I wanted to buy this around Black Friday but stumbled upon this thread.

It's an ongoing issue that wyze won't address.

Meh. Tiny stain spots from plastic sitting on some finishes? Just be aware of it and put it on tile or linoleum or a piece of cardboard or something.
I read this too and bought a clear place mat to put under the docking station.

Everyone saying LIDAR is a game changer is probably true but I think LIDAR has become more of a baseline requirement. LIDAR cannot be a differentiating factor anymore and cannot be the only reason to hop on to this deal when there are comparative products out there.
What comparative products that are better at this price???

I got it with this deal and it arrived last Friday. So far used a few times and it just cleaned around really nicely, once started by app, once told alexa to start it as I was about to have guests with short notice and today I just got a notification that it cleaned while I am at work ( I scheduled it twice at noon on M/R). Hopefully I will stop worrying about vacuuming floors. I have two cats and they make sure it is worth vacuuming often, and I come to find its dust bin filled to the top with cat fur.

There's some more detailed reviews in past slickdeals listings for the iHome AutoVac Nova.

I recently bought both, the Wyze and iHome. I prefer the iHome for the self-clearing vacuum base and mop attachment.

Although, I do notice that it gets stuck when transitioning onto floormats/carpets that are about 1/2inch thick. So I had to set no-go zones.

Ihome has a better and more customizable user interface. Wyze seems to be more "clean" and less prone to errors though.
Oh I see, yea i have carpets on top of the LVP flooring and would like to clean all surfaces, so in this case I'll buy the Wyze.

DON'T BUY!! They don't include the dock or transformer. Both are required to use the vacuum. It's a paperweight unless you already have the dock & transformer or can order them at Wyze.
I just got mine and it has both... You're lying.

I just ordered 2 and received the dock and ac adapter in both. You probably got a bad bundle.

Funny people say to report it to consumer SAFETY product commission. A stain on a floor isn't affecting safety, Karen and Ken.

That vacuum is $200+ more, not fair to compare. It's like asking if a landcruiser is better than a rav4.

I've bought 3 of these and they all work great. It is faster than my roomba i6 and the battery lasts longer. It isn't as good in long carpet but does a good job overall. I've had one run on weekdays on a 3000sq foot layout for about 15 months with no issues.
Except they frequently go on sale for under $250….

I have one of these and I like it well enough – I also have a Shark with the secondary bin, where the vacuum can empty itself every day, which for a busy area in a big county house with a cat, I absolutely love. For lighter duty, the Wyze is imo a good choice.

There is also a HomeAssistant integration called `simple_wyze_vac`, it isn't heavily developed but it does allow basic control and monitoring, so that's nice.

I would probably not buy another robot vacuum unless it had the ability to empty itself. Having to empty the bin once a month instead of .. much more often is really a game changer.

edit: Here's a link to the Shark which has self-emptying:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Shark-...hbdg=L1300

It's $350 down from $480 – If you can afford self-emptying, I think you'll find it well worth it.

Even cheaper...what's the difference?

Thanks op. Bought one. Have a Samsung and it keeps getting lost and stopping in random places due to battery dying.
