I'm glad they're bringing this back. This used to always be a thing, where if it showed Hot Donuts on the sign outside, you could walk inside and they'd ALWAYS give you a free original glazed.

Went in to buy the dozen for $4.86 promo and light was in and they refused to give me free donut. They said I couldn't use two promos. LOL.

they made out all time with me on this promo. I always bought additional doughnuts. I quit going in there and hence quit buying from them. Nice to see it is back for a while.

I remember that about 15 years ago when the one location here opened up... Always get a free one and then buy another one. Once my mom wanted to try one without the frosting and one time the guy agreed... Super super hot before they get cooled down under the waterfall of icing, but also tastes disgusting 😂

I came here to mention I once did the EXACT same thing when the light was on. I agree, disgusting! It was worth trying once though.

The first time I got a donut when the light was on, I finally understood why they called it Krispy Kreme. Still crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside before they cooled down and solidified

I took my visiting parents to the Raleigh downtown location midday in the hopes to get one from the line. Didn't remember about the hot hours. We got them to sell us a couple of hot ones that were destined to be filled but we're plain….. gotta say as previously posted they weren't so good Wink. Needless to say I won't forget the hot hours 🤣.

Record new procedure: If light is on ask for free donut first. Eat it then order a dozen. That way you finished using the first promo. (What free donut)

Can you describe it in more detail? I like original, unglazed donuts from most places — but they tend to be "cake" donuts. What makes the KK one different?

i think they got it wrong. the idea is to get in the store so you can purchase something else. I think they lost more than they gained today
