I'm currently using the PC38X. Sound is also clear and beautiful, but it doesn't need an amp to get there. I like the sound positioning of the PC37Xs a lot better for gaming, though.
Both headsets are fantastic for listening to recording masters! I have absolutely noticed a big difference between album masters and originals, and am still a little pissed that I never got to hear all the extra harmonies and things until I got the 37X. If you think you'd benefit from that or the outstanding sound positioning, I'd totally recommend going for this deal.
Comfortwise, they're like other Sennheiser gaming headsets in that the earpads are very comfortable to wear, but the headband takes a little bit to break in. If you wear glasses, it may give you a little trouble after 2-3 hours of constant use during the break-in period; after that, it's smooth sailing.
Compared to other headphones, I'm pretty close to giving up on anything that isn't Sennheiser. I tried the Arctis 5 and Logitech wireless headsets and they triggered my sensory processing disorder because of how tinny and distorted they sounded, lol. Jabra Elite 75t wireless earbuds were the same story. Apple AirPods were okay, but nothing special. I tried the Sennheiser GSP 670 during its first model year (2019) and was super unimpressed. It was very heavy, bad for long sessions, and the sound/mic weren't anything special. Sennheiser's Momentum 2.0 Wireless is my daily driver when I'm not at my computer. They're also great in sound quality, but closed back, which can get uncomfortable with pressure changes.

How are they compared to other headphones you've tried? I know they're great gaming headphones as that's been well documented but wondering how good they sound and perform as regular everyday headphones on PC for listening to music and watching TV or movies, particularly if they're comfortable enough for regular use several hours at a time (after getting rid of or at least used to the clamping pressure Sennheisers are infamous for), have enough bass, and other than the obvious sound leakage they all come with, if open back cans can cut it as your primary (if not only) headphones for PC use?
I've read and watched the majority of reviews but they're almost always coming from an audiophile or gaming only perspective, or for these people who don't hesitate to spend thousands of dollars for their obsessive headphone collection (not that there's anything wrong with it, but it'd be nice if they use their interpersonal skills to realize not everyone has or is willing to spend that much time and money on their incredibly expensive hobby).
I want and have been planning on getting your PC38X's once they drop a lil in price and especially now that it's in all black, but I'm not about to spend upwards of $100 JUST for occasional gaming. Otherwise, I'd just get these instead. TIA, it's much appreciated.
And this was supposedly an improvement over the PC37x

For watching tv I've been using a set of Philips SHP9500 headphones for the past 6 years. They are comfortable and cool to wear but they are loose on my small head. I recently picked up a set of Sennheiser HD 560 S as a replacement. They do have a bit of clamp force but you get used to it after a week or so. They are also warmer to wear compared to the SHP9500 but not as detailed. The PC38X feel lighter and more comfortable than the 560 S but the ear holes are smaller and touch the ears. I like the material on the pads that come installed compared to the 560 S. I thought the small ear holes would bother me but they do not so far. If it was going to listen to music I would pick the 560 S. The PC38X do seem a bit warmer to me at this point. I may swap the two tonight just to give the PC38X a fair listen. I also haven't tried the mic since I mostly game alone.
I wish I could help more. My next purchases may be a dac and amp. I spend a ton of time at night with headphones on so It's way past time to but some decent equipment.
