Brushing technique is more important than the type of tooth brush we use. Soft tooth brush is ideal for everyday use. Brush heads/ manual tooth brushes should be changed every 60 days or so or when the ends of the bristles appear bent. Tooth brush should be held at 45 degrees to gum line and brushing strokes should be gentle, engaging two to three teeth at a time. Brushing your teeth for two minutes is recommended. Don't forget to brush your tongue at the end. Most important to turn off the faucet while brushing. Water is a blessing, let's not waste it.

Picked up a pink a while back for $39 and it's been great for me. I just wanted something basic without all the bells and whistles of the later models, and I really enjoy using it. My dental hygienist says the surface of my teeth have never been so clean! But then she yelled at me for not flossing daily, so ya win some, ya lose some.

These bottom model sonicares have been around for ages. Probably the best value deal was the Series 2 for $20 bucks that went on sale Christmas time. the 4100 should be $20 bucks as both the build and overall feel are inferior to the higher-end models. The 4100 handle is wider and clunkier than the healthy white and diamond clean models.

Got for the same price an year ago. Works flawlessly. Happy with the purchase. Good brushing intensity and battery life of 20 days with brushing twice daily.

Recently returned one of these. I don't like the ergonomics of it. Kind of awkward to hold and smooth with nothing to really grip.

The lack of included wall charger is also kind of ridiculous. They claim to want to reduce plastic but then what is the base? Not like I'm going to be able to reuse it, might as well just have a plug directly attached to it instead of USB.

There is no hollow cavity on these. There is a metal post that slides directly into the brush.

Pro 1000 is NiMh, hardly 5 days battery using twice daily for 2 minutes. Own both pro 1000 and 4100, prefer sonicare over oral b

If you're replacing an older higher end model, you'll be disappointed with this one. I purchased one and returned it soon afterwards. I felt that it didn't clean as well as my old one (weaker).

I have the 6100 and my wife has the 4100. Honestly 99% of people don't need anything more than the 4100, it's the perfect electric toothbrush.
