I own 3 TCL televisions. I bought a 55" 4 series in 2017, a 65" 6 series in 2019, and another 55" 4 series 5 months ago. All three work great. For the money, you won't find a better 4K HD television.
You can say that to every single brand out there if you only buy the lowest tier tv. Samsung LG Vizio Hisense Sony you name it.
Bought this around the same price on Christmas and has been working flawlessly. Biggest surprise is how decent the speaker sounds since most budget 4k TVs have awful speakers.

My 65" TCL was crap. Buggy and sluggish. Stay with premium brand, LG, Samsung, or Sony.
Might have just been that one TV. I have a 65" 4-series TCL, fantastic TV. It's been used multiple times a day, every day, both 4k viewing and gaming (PS4 & PS5, some PC games) for years and it's still going strong.

This isn't really a deal. It's been listed at this price for weeks. I own it and it's a fine TV.

Looking for a 55-60" TV. Use Chromecast and soundbar, so smart features not an issue. Need cheap, reliable and great picture. Any suggestions?

Just about anything you brought 3 years in the same size is going to be a better deal.. I brought a TCL 49S405 3.3 years ago and paid $50 more than this 55" TCL. Plus the 49S405 you can hardly tell when you watching anything in 4K.

I have four 55" TCL Series 4 UHD sets -- one in each bedroom. Last two were $148. Good times. I had one fail under warranty, and TCL sent a guy to my home to repair the television. These things are on display everywhere, so get in your car if you want to know about blacks and viewing angles. The television looks great.

This is the very best television for cord cutters. I put one in my sisters's camp in the middle of Maine so the guys could watch the Patriots during hunting season.

For starters, it's inexpensive. I was looking to trim my electric bill by weening my kid off the 60″ plasma. My kid loves it for games. It's pretty. It's not plasma and the picture fades if you are far to the left or right or far above or below the set, but from most of my living room, it looks great and I see no motion blur watching sports. I bought a second set to replace a 43″ plasma in my bedroom. Very satisfied. It's smart. Not smart like it can run apps (it runs the Roku OS). Smart like it remembers what input you last used when powered on. That means if you use an antenna, it comes up like a dumb television. For some of us, that is very nice. It's informative. Hit the back button on the remote and you get a full screen grid style EPG (Electronic Program Guide). It's tricky. Plug a 16g USB 2.0 thumb drive into this television and you will be able to pause, rewind, and fast forward through 90 minutes of television. This television does not record programs, but it does most of the things we do with a DVR. So, for ~$300, you get a 55″ TCL 4K UHD Roku TV which is great for games and sports, remembers your preferences, has a nice EPG, and can pause a program long enough for you to answer the phone or eat dinner. What could be better than that?

This or RCA 65 inch 4K 2160P UHD Smart Television with WebOs, RWOSU6547?

Both same price and RCA is 65"? Not worried about smart interface as I will use fire stick. Mainly would like to find which is better visuals, performance and reliability. Thanks.

TCL will be a tad more reliable and better quality than the RCA. TCL has an rtings review and recommended settings for best picture plus 4 HDMI ports instead of 3. I would only get the RCA if you really want a 65".
