IF you shop at Smart & Final, they have a deal right now if you Buy $50 of select Gift cards, you get a coupon good for $10 off groceries.

I bought a $30 Netflix and $25 Home Depot gift card, which are rarely discounted. I then used the $10 coupon to buy groceries, which I needed anyway.

I purchased a "happy gift card" with the multi shop option. It was good at Ulta, BW3 and a few other locations. I tried to use it Ulta (in store) and it was rejected. I called customer service and they said they would send a new card in 10 business days. I never received it. I called them after 30 days and they acknowledged it wasn't sent and they would resend it. I never received that one either. I called them again and this time asked for a refund. They said they would process a refund but it would take 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks, I never received a refund I called them again. This time they said I failed to respond to an email they sent which required me to confirm I wanted a refund and I needed to send in the original receipt. I never received an email. I asked them where they sent the email. They responded the couldn't tell me because of privacy issues.

Before you purchase a "happy gift card" you may want to check around. There are numerous complaints about this company.

This isn't a knock on Kroger or other gift cards. Ther issue is specific to "happy cards". It's a specific brand.
