I can never understand why retailers still try to force us to go to stores. I know many people would disagree, and that's perfectly fine. But a gift card can easily be delivered electronically, cuts down all the manufacturing, transportation, restocking etc. overhead. Just give me at costco.com with an electronic delivery please.

Because it's a loss leader and they want you to go in-store and buy other things.

Thanks for the info. The price stickers showed $89.99 which is the normal discount. They didn't want to price check cause they were scared to activate it. A supervisor checked it on the computer and there was a rebate for another $10 off making it $79.
These rarely go for 20% off so this is great.

Picked up one for Xbox. Came as a set of 4x $25. My store also has PlayStation and Nintendo cards for the same price.

I believe that only Xbox allows their gift cards to be used on purchasing console hardware.
