I have this tablet, and the display being OLED is stunning compared to iPad Air 4 and some of the other tablets I've checked out.

Current android version is 11, it's got 12L and 13 dev images available on Lenovo site so hopefully we'll see updates soon!!

Legitimate question, isn't Lenovo notorious for NOT pushing updates? What makes you think they will push an update to 12 let alone 13? Most of their tablets are running 10 still. It would be a foolish idea to buy this hoping for an update?

There's been constant progress with 12L, it's currently on beta 3 as of March. Beta 2 was released in Jan. Android 13 beta released in May.

Google encouraged developers to use this particular tablet to test out 12L. There have been consistent updates to their development firmware over time.

I haven't rooted mine, haven't found the need. I usually root to remove bloatware, and there isn't any.

Quick google search says it is rootable. I know Lenovo provides instructions to unlock bootloader on their website. OEM Unlock is available in developer options to be toggled so it's not locked like some devices.

Darn it. I bought the 128GB version with Pen 3 from Costco for $550 (with tax0 just last month. Contemplating if it is worth it to get this with pen3 for $576.

Can anyone comment on the difference between this tablet and the Yoga Tab 13 (other than the screen). It shows that one for $379 on Lenovo's website.

Not sure if you added the pen 3 in your pricing, but it's included in this deal

Very good price for what is a legit Galaxy S8+ competitor. This will be updated to Android 12L or 13 as well to take advantage of the large screen. Decent drawing experience too from the reviews.

Yoga tab is 128gb, no microsd slot, has handle and grip (apparently houses better speakers), has micro-hdmi. These are the major differences i found, outside of the screen

Edit: Also, Yoga has no rear camera while the p12 pro has 2, a wide and ultrawide camera.

If this had the dual boot option for Windows this would be great.

Iirc, the Yoga Tab 13 had major build issues. Plenty reviews about creaking when held and adjusting the stand. Shame because the possibility as a second display is amazing for me

This is the lead device for Google implementing the tablet interface of Android 13. Google themselves is pushing the development.

Both ship with Android 11 but the yoga tab 13 already has an update to android 12 but no immediate plan for them to upgrade to 12L or 13 (no beta at all and no announcement). Also, if you update to 12 on the yoga tab 13 it totally breaks the tablet. It breaks the volume control and touch to wake among other things. Lenovo says they are pushing an update at the end of this month but who knows. As far as hardware both have snapdragon 870 with adreno 650 but the yoga tab 13 has no rear camera. Speakers are way better on the yoga tab 13 obviously. No pen on yoga tab 13, no microSD slot, IPS panel instead of OLED, less priority android updates (if at all), and there is a known hardware problem where the glue holding the screen together in the corners is known to come apart.
