I have the 8 gallon and it's a little big for taking inside the car and the hose isn't super long. You can still get the job done but you might need to get creative. I have a sedan so the 4 doors help getting into the tight spots and trunk.

The attachments are too big to be used in small car spaces, in my opinion. I have the 8 gal and it is a great vacuum, but I only use it on the trunk and floorboards. If you just want a general cleaning in the car, this is perfect.

You can get smaller attachments or universal attachments to use inside smaller spaces.
Home Depot and Lowes sell finer attachments that allow you to use smaller crevice tools or longer thinner hoses.

8 gallons is big enough for cleaning a car. If you are going to be doing wet cleaning, 8 gallons is big enough for a 3-row SUV with cloth seats.

For this price, you can use it without feeling bad if you destroy it. Its a pretty beefy unit to begin with. Its meant for nasty messes you wouldn't use your fancy Dyson or Hoover for. Metal or Plastic do not matter.
06-22-2022 at 04:16 AM
I had a metal one that got dented pretty significantly so if you care about how your's looks you might want the plastic. I needed a new/bigger one anyway so I went with the 10gal.

To vacuum them yes, to suck water out at some degree, sort of yes. But a dedicated rug shampoo machine will do a better job. Not this. This is mean to pick up nasty stuff that would clog or choke a Dyson, , like dirt, ash, rocks, nails, wood chips, nasty cleanups.

No it is only a vacuum, capable of picking up wet or dry messes.
No steamer functions on this "shop vac"

I bought this as a black Friday deal for the same price last year. Had it for 6 months and used both wet and dry with no issues.
At this price it's worth the buy if you need one.
It is a good brand. HART is Walmart's "in house" premium tool line, comparable to Ryobi at Home Depot and Kobalt at Lowe's.
Have the 8g stainless steel version and it is awesome. Had a full AC drip pan and it cleared it immediately. Afterwards, I used the blow function to clear the drain line. Worked perfectly. Well worth the $30

Damn I just got the Vacmaster…this seems like a way better deal.

https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/725455

Anyone know how they compare?

I see the Vacmaster has has a 5 year warranty vs the Hart's 3 year.

It does convert to a blower. It says "Easily Converts to Blower" in the product details. The 10 and 16 gallon do as well
