I am hoping Chase/Amazon Visa will be Flexible on the 5/24 rule during Prime Day. I currently have 10 new cards in the last 24 months. However, 5 out of the 10 new cards will age to 24 months old by 1st week of December 2022. Maybe, I will be safer applying for the Amazon Store card issued Synchrony Bank.

Chase relaxed the 5/24 rule for Amazon card in late 2021

I had AAA1 credit plus a high credit score at all three of the credit bureaus before I applied and received the Chase credit card through Amazon.

I used the Chase card to pay for a car repair and my whole world came tumbling down.

Now my credit is ruined and I can't even borrow $5 from a bank or make a credit purchase at a store without getting denied. I've been fighting with them now since 2018.

Chase customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. They will ruin you so my advice is to stay away from that chase credit card deal through Amazon. You have been warned.

Care to explain what happened?

Credit is pretty simple, If you don't pay your bill don't keep records of paying your bill bad things happen. I am middle class, I have had the prime visa card for around 2 years with $7500 limit, I use the card allot I mean on everything for the point I pay it off monthly in full and keep track of my spending and payments and I have never had a issue. People are always quick to blame lenders for their issues vs taking personal responsibility for their debts. IMO I think this card often gives to high of limits vs what people can actually afford. Same thing with "interest free financing" If you do not keep on top of it easy to get lost on the amount you need to pay monthly to have it paid off by the time it ends especially if you keep charging other items to the card during that time period.

I have heard of a few horror stories. Like the prime card promos of delayed payments with no interest. People claimed to have paid their bill on time but the money went to the balance of the large item and not to that months charges. Then Chase cancels their promos. The no interest payment is immediately removed and fees are added. They report support tells them to call chase and chase says go to Amazon.

I know how credit cards are suppose to work. It just sounds like the guy I replied to had something unusual happen to him.

I completely understand that is why I never hold a balance. I can't afford it I don't buy it. I just want the points
