Is there any way to STOP the spam calls?

Hi... I bought a laptop at Costco. HP 14 inch windows machine. That was back in August 2020, so almost 2 years ago now. It has a hinge problem... the left hinge is "tight" inside, like something is stuck. Everytime you open or close it, there is extra pressure on that side, to the point that the screw on the bottom has come loose, and you can see the bottom panel is bulging. Also, the power button, which is right next to the left hinge, has somehow... fallen into the case. There is a crack on the surface next to the power button opening. The button is stuck inside, I cannot turn the laptop on or off anymore.
The latop itself is otherwise in good condition, screen works fine, no big scratches,
Anyway, I called Costco Concierge, and they said... its NOT covered under the 2 year Costco warranty?? Does that make sense? I appealed to the mgr, and he asked for some pics to be sent, but ... is this expected? They couldn't seem to give me a clear answer on what IS covered...
I googled Costco warranty and it says the following are NOT covered:
Accidental damage
Misuse or neglect
Computer viruses
Defaults caused by fire, lightning, water, or sand
Inadequate internet connection
Normal wear and tear
I guess they think this is "normal wear and tear"??
Meant to do it as a separate thread later... but I I cannot edit the title...
Anyway, I do get dozens of spam calls daily. Thanks and reps for any suggestions on that as well. I own some investment property, it seems they get my name and number(s) from public records and... well, there must be hundreds of these people looking to buy up property and, I guess, sell it for a profit. They keep calling asking me if I want a quote, etc. I also get tons of calls about car insurance (I have no car), solar panels (I live in an apt building), cable service, medicare supplemental coverage (I am not eligible for medicare yet!) and on and on... I estimate 20 calls a day on my land line and 10+ on my mobile. Driving me nuts!!!

Not covered, huh? That sucks. We have not abused the laptop in anyway... the hinge issue is a design flaw, I think. Darn. So another unexpected expense!
Bought laptop case off ebay for like $20. Watched disassemble video on youtube and changed it out.
Cause is the nut on the hinge is too tight and the pressure causes the case to crack.
If your handy and feel capable you can fix this yourself, but if not it will just get worse.

I checked ebay and they seem to be selling different parts, from keyboard to "bottom cover"... I'm not very handy but this might be an interesting project to do with my son (its his laptop) if it was $20-40. But just the back case for this model is listed at $45, and the keyboard is $83-150 (also the wrong color? our model is all silver)! At that price... I'd probably rather just buy a new one...

Just open it up, identify the issue (by comparing the normal hinge and the tight hinge), buy the needed parts online and find a weekend to get it done.
