Sorry but why is it a crappy tv? Is there any other 4k 120hz tv at this price?
What makes it a crappy tv? Any reviews to back that up?
I'm sure you are trolling. I have this tv and it its great for the price. You do have to update the firmware day one. The picture was grainier than normal on YouTube until I updated it but the 4k content was gorgeous for an LED. To say it's crappy is very misleading. If you were expecting an oled or qled that cost much more thats on you.

Here is the proof! https://www.costco.com/samsung-65...55054.html The Samsung Q8 is $1K but if this LG has decent specs and it costs $500 after Costco shop card. I want to save the $500 and go for this LG tv.

I agree. I have an LG 65 Nano on order for $450 if it ever gets delivered by Best Buy. They keep postponing delivery because they dont have the TV.

Does this one have Bluetooth and good sound ? Built in Roku and sling tv app? I am close to either buying the $1K Samsung Q8 65 inch or this LG 65 inch for $500 after the Costco shop card . $500 saving is significant. I currently have. 55 inch Samsung smart tv I bought in 2012. It doesn't have Bluetooth .

The TV I'm supposedly getting is similar to do this but the deal is not able to be replicated. It is only 60hz but it has bluetooth. I'd probably go with the UN9000 considering the price difference as long as you don't mind that the frame will be a little thick. The Q8 wil be super slim I think because the Q60 is and thats a lower model.

Is the Samsung even in stock by you?

Yes in store and online . The Costco guys recommended the Q8 for $1K. But if this LG for $500 is similarly good , I would go with this LG tv and save $500

I think Q8 is better TV, not $500 better. If the Q8 was $750, I'd go with the Q8 but its not in my budget, heck I almost bought the Q60 at $750. So go with the LG. Use it a year and then I bet you can sell it if you are not happy for $400. Plus its Costco, use it for 60 days and if rates under a 7/10 for you , you can always exchange it for the Q8 or something else that goes on sale. The LG OLED A1 was on sale for $999 too with $100 streaming credit and warranty I think but it was never available in my city.

it's their duty to sell you the most expensive stuff that you can afford. so yes it's better but is it really 2x better.

120hz refresh rate and hdmi 2.1 make this tv good enough for ps5 games?
The LG UN9000 appears to lack VRR. Without VRR, gaming at 120Hz will be a worse gaming experience than gaming at 60Hz. The PS5 cannot maintain a locked 120fps in a vast majority of games that have a 120Hz mode. So you will get heavy studdering with framerates varying between 60fps to 120fps; whereas, the 60Hz mode will normally provide a locked 60 fps without studdering. In conclusion, do not buy a 120Hz TV for 120Hz gaming unless it has VRR.

For the $1,000 price range, the 2021 Sony X90CJ (commonly known as X90J) beats the 2021 Samsung Q8DA (commonly known as Q80A).

I'm with ya. When you look at the IPS LGs in Walmart, Target and Costco they always look a lot more crisp with better colors compared to the budget VA panels mounted next to them. That doesn't change when you get them home even when viewing in a dark room.
If you view your IPS TV without local dimming enabled doesn't it have clouding and/or flashlighting that can typically be seen during dark scenes when viewing in a dark room?

I watched lots of Youtube test vids when I compared the LG to the Sammy Q60A. I must have gotten a really good IPS panel cuz the Sammy and my Hisense U6G definitely have a lot of light bleeding around the edges and my LG does not. Blooming tests looked the same on all of them. White and grey scale tests were very even with the LG and the U6G but the Samsung Q60A had terrible clouding.

Did you use a black screen with a white cross test in a dark room (nighttime with the lights off); similar to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-e9f3RxS_I

Also having a white cross is important because some TVs turn off the backlight on a pure black screen.
