Black has got to be the dumbest damn color for a cooler, no wonder it's clearance.
I've always thought the same thing. Let's take something that is supposed to keep things cool and then make it the most heat absorbent color. Makes sense…
Just don't leave your cooler in the sun, it wouldn't be smart either 😎

when i used to buy coolers 20+ years ago 24qt was a little over $10 at walgreens and it had some kind of insulation in the walls. i still have it. i also bought 48qt and it had insulation. now all cheap coolers have hollow walls and lids and are considered ice boxes. i don't want to drill holes, buy foam insulation and DIY. don't want to spend $200+ on a good? cooler.

Yeah quality has really gone down on the sub $75 coolers. I grabbed one of the Lifetime brand 55 quart for ~$100. Pretty good bang for the buck.
It's for on-site construction managers or something. People that travel from site to site for their job, are likely to have the cooler get dirty (less noticable in black), and are home every day (or two).
I have this in a different color and it doesn't hold ice. Thin walls. It's good for a day use when you need to cart a bunch of drinks to a soccer field or something for the day and it's no big deal if ice melts. The benefit here is the size and the wheels. Beyond that, don't get this. They used to save the Extreme label for the coolers that really did hold ice for a long time.
Lol i don't get involved in politics but the way things are going i'm going to have to. First executive order will be no more black color coolers, oral water flossers, appliances. Second, all coolers must have insulation in the walls and lids. Anything without insulation should be labeled as ice box and priced appropriately.
> Lol i don't get involved in politics
Life is political. Existence is political. There is no one and no place that is apolitical. Anyone saying otherwise wants to ban all politics except theirs.
eh, besides the color, it seems that it is just a poor cooler, certainly not a 5 day cooler.
I have this and kept it in the 70° centrally cooled kitchen of our summer rental a couple years back and it was barely a "5 day cooler" in that environment fully packed with ice and drinks. By day 5 all the ice was melted and the cans were slightly cooler than room temp if you still count that.
My gripe with this thing is the handle is flimsy as shit. Once it is fully loaded the handle feels like it's going to snap the second you go to tilt it to roll.
It's fine as an average roller cooler, and works great for a day trip to the beach. Just don't go thinking you're getting anything close to a yeti.

I say "neato," check the albedo, and go to the beach in my new tuxedo…
