shitty company... I purchased switchbot for $15 when it was on sale last time and was posted here. It is not working and company is not responding to my mails. No phone based customer care. You get what you pay for.

Fair enough I guess, but it's clearly a Chinese company making VERY cheap products, so I don't exactly expect Apple-level customer service. If it doesn't work.....return it. If they're not responding to requests for returns, do a chargeback. If you didn't use a credit card and can't do a chargeback.....that's on you lol.

Requires a hub for remote control? Forget that. Not in this day and age when plenty other options from more reputable companies support Apple HomeKit, Google and Amazon services. Hard pass.

The hub lowers the power consumption dramatically because of Bluetooth near-field tech versus bloated Wi-Fi. Your problem that you don't understand the difference.
