5 Dollar Tree bottle = 5 x 1.25 = $6.00. I trust you a thoroughly rinsing all of the bottles after use so they can be recycled as they only recycle clean waste. Dollar Tree drain cleaner is not as strong - does not work as well (this even says Pro on the label - so you just know it is better)! As a landlord, I own various snakes and plungers. Sometimes your snake goes through the clog without clearing it and you can't get a snake in an old cement wash tub. In those cases, this is the best easiest solution. While trying to get 5 even pours is next to impossible without a measuring device, pouring in $1.50 worth is something I can afford. And I bet you can too!

You don't want to use the max strength sodium hydroxide in your drains as it is awful for them. The dollar store stuff is infinitely better.

Dollar General (not Tree) sells their store brand gel equivalent for $5.75. No waiting days or shipping chemicals that could leak/spill. Combine with thier $5 off $25 coupon that's always available.

I've found that the target brand drain cleaner works just as good if not better in a few cases. Of course prevention is better if possible.

PSA: Get a sink plunger.

Most people using drain cleaner to clear clogs or help slow draining sinks/tubs would be much better off with a $5 sink plunger.

Step 1: Pay $5-10 for sink plunger that will last nearly a lifetime.
Step 2: Fill the affected tub, or sink with some hot water.
Step 3: Block overflow bypass with finger or something else.
Step 4: Repeatedly plunge away periodically letting water through, ideally keeping air out.
Step 5: Enjoy your sink/tub that drains like new

Really though, drain cleaner can be helpful in certain situations but you probably just need a sink plunger.

Instead of buying these products, turn off the water under your sink, put something under it to catch water, and take apart of the pipes. Than clean your pipes with an old toothbrush.

Draino can not get rid of many things such as eggshells, hair (assuming it's stuck and clogged) or heavier substances. You are much better off cleaning your pipes than dealing with those products that don't actually fix most problems.
