I bought a pre-owned one a few months ago from gamestop. Don't play often but no issues with it.

Yeah kind of what I was thinking. Probably the only people that would trade in a ps5 controller are those that have problems with them

Never buy a used PS5 controller. Almost every PS5 controller made for the first year will eventually get left stick drift. Sony is good about repairing and replacing them(but you pay for shipping) but this all requires a proof of purchase. The max I'd pay for a used ps5 controller is $5.

My first controller had stick drift as well. Avoid used ones for now.

Maybe okay if you get a cover and check it out at the store to make sure it functions properly. A lot of their refurb/trade-ins get sanded down before they resell them.
