Love the idea and my Vitamix, but this is about $70 too steep still for me. I think Ninja has a similar thing for a lot cheaper, but obviously only works with specific ninja blender models
I know what you're saying & you're right. I have one and don't like using it. Because it's upside down compared to a regular blender it's not as convenient to adjust recipes. Example, you put all your ingredients in and then have to screw that entire base to the bottle. You unscrew your smoothie and realize you want to add more example, ice, fruit, etc. You gotta clean the base first because you're flipping it upside down again. I've tried not doing it and it's a mess. Same applies if you open it and realize it's not blended to the right consistency, gotta wash the base before blending some more.
I've had this for three years and it works great. There is a learning curve to it and it's not ideal for everyone's situation.

The leaking thing is really simple. On the cup adapter (the part with the blades) is a red rubber seal. First of all, that seal needs to be in place (it's removable for washing) and second you have to make sure that the seal makes proper contact all the way around the cup as you're screwing it down onto the adapter. Sometimes the seal can get bunched up--especially if you've slopped powder or other ingredients onto the lip of the cup--and if that happens the seal will have a gap in it. And once you flip it over to attach to the blender, liquid can (will) spill out.

That happened to me twice early on before I figured out I needed to watch the seal as I'm screwing the cup onto the adapter. If it starts to bunch up it is obvious if you're looking at it. In that case you just have to unscrew it a bit and try again. That's usually all it takes. Furthermore you can do a lot to prevent it from bunching up by being careful about adding ingredients, or wiping down the lip of the cup before screwing it onto the adapter.

For folks who like to add things to their smoothies after blending, these are not a good fit. As for me, I've already dialed in my recipes and I don't make any changes to them. Also keep in mind that because this blends upside down, your order of ingredients for proper blending is reversed (e.g. ice first, liquids last instead of vice-versa).

When I first got this, I hated it. But after using it for a week or so I adjusted the amount of stuff I was trying to fit in there, got the proper ingredient order and figured out the situation with the seal. It's been great ever since. I actually find it easier to clean because the entire setup is dishwasher safe, unlike normal vitamix containers. Thanks to its wide mouth and holes at the bottom, the cup adapter is really easy to rinse/clean by hand. That's what I do most days. About once a month I toss it in the dishwasher (I remove the red seal first and put that in the utensil holder). The cups get put in the dishwasher after each use and everything comes out gleaming.

I have this, only issue I have is the quantity is just not enough for me, might work for someone who need smaller portions.

This looks like you'd have the clean up the jar and the cups each time you use it? I got the vitamix for wife for when she cooks and I use my William Sonoma blender for smoothies and it's easy clean-up as well as quality device and the whole unit cost less than this setup.

I bought the stainless pitcher which said compatible with all full sized Vitamix.. however it does not work with the international version. Which is why I'm looking for confirmation!

Uh? You clean up the cup you use the blade base that comes with it.

...Do you often re-use your dishes without washing first?

I've had this for years. It's good for personal smoothies. I find we didn't drink the pitcher, but these are good. To clean just toss the cup into the dishwasher and rinse the blades then dump soap and brush. It's a luxury item, but so is a 400 dollar blender.

I like my Vitamix but this seems a crazy price for what it is. I've packed away my Vitamixer in favor of an entire NutriBullet Pro I picked up at BBB for around what these cups on "sale" cost. Would love to simplify my kitchen but in practice VitaMix is much less used than my NutriBullet Pro on the everyday.

Nope, I was simply pointing out the flaw of this personal cup where you now have to clean up the big jar AND a personal cup where most personal cup blenders it's just the cup when done. Also, as someone else mentioned, with smoothies sometimes you have to adjust; add more ice, or fruits or liquid or need to blend a bit more and this seems like a hassle.
