Keep in mind that this screen, while providing all the hz's, only comes in at 277 nits and 1000:1 contrast, so it's not very bright or vibrant. Someone was selling one not too far away from me for $800 but as soon as I read those specs, I pivoted away.

So tempting, but you're right, a dim screen is a deal breaker for me too, thanks for the info. Prices also keep dropping and dropping, so waiting isn't a bad idea at all these days.
Been running this system for abour a year now, it's pretty good. I can game @1440p 60fps most games @ highish settings. It does get pretty loud when in high perf mode but is dead silent in battery saver. Working on papers and emails in battery saver mode with the screen brightness maxed out I get north of 5 hours. Upgrades are not great but do able. 2 m.2 slots and sodimms are on the keyboard side of the mobo. I upgraded mine to 64gb of ram and 2x2tb ssds and haven't had any issues. The screen isn't super bright but it's very usable and desently sharp. 240hz mode doesn't do alot for me but setting it to an interval of 240 like 80 or 120 is a health bump over 60 in terms of responsiveness. I bought it as 1500$ since I needed an all amd system. I'd say this okay @ this price but would be better @ 1k or so

This is a very powerful AMD based computer. At $1200 it feels like a steal. You just have to know that the AMD card has its limitations in comparison to Nvidia.
Picked this laptop up a few days ago. Love how light it is compared to other gaming laptops and that it has a full size keyboard instead of one of those smaller ones with the useless number pad.
do note tho it is a huge pita to upgrade the ram or add another nvme to it.
