Price ($29 for unlimited) has been there for some time; it's the normal price.

What makes this a "deal"?

You can't use WhatsApp to call 1-800 numbers (overseas customer service, banks ect.) or landlines overseas. I used tello free international to call banks and aadvantage (American airlines Australia) to call CSR when wait time here is too long.

Tmobile's coverage map shows areas where they have roaming agreement with other providers. That applies only if you are tmobile proper, not for MVNOs using tmobile. MVNOs lets you use only tmobile's own network.

That is a great idea, The phone is only used for data and texting. I might just do the 300 minutes and let it roll as advised. Does the unused 1 gig data also roll over?

Yes, the unused portion of both data and minutes will roll as long as your new plan also has whatever you are rolling.

The other thing to keep in mind is that you can't use partial Tello Dollars, so you will want all the upcoming months to equal the $90 you have left. So you could start with the $7 plan and assuming that's enough minutes/data, do that for 12 months, then in the 13th month, do the $6 plan of 100 min and 500mb of data.

I've had Tello for many years - They nickel and dime you

Examples:
If you run out of minutes (Text, Phone or Data) you need to repurchase your entire plan even if its only one week past the last renewal. Adding minutes cost more than most plans

There is no WiFi Calling - All WiFi minutes are deducted from your plan minutes

Referral Bonus dollars can only be used if the total amount is larger than the cost of your plan (Really) . If you have the $29 plan you need to refer a minimum of 3 people in order to use any of these credits..

They say they have the best customer service but the rules are strict and they cant help you when it comes to any financial issues

US Mobile if you have a 5G device.

I can get usable data at places where I can't with Verizon prepaid (same time, same model phone - OnePlus 10 Pro 5G).

Same; they just give generic "try this" response without even reading that you've already tried all of those things. They are pretending the issue doesn't exist.

I get it constantly even with wifi-calling, it says "carrier has temporarily disabled service".

Boost is the worst. I am still on the phone with them about my wrong SIM card. It's been my fifth call since ordered June 17th!

To your point, I'm currently troubleshooting a website checkout issue with them myself.

That said, I'm not sure how a SIM card could be "wrong"…
