You can't flex on your friends but it will definitely get the job done.

RTIC is having a 10-15% off sale right now. Might want to check them out.

They seem to have the same insulation as rtic & others but probably lack the durability. I was looking at these in the store & the plastic seems lighter & less sturdy. So, if you are looking for occasional camping probably ok. If you are looking at everyday use such as construction or farm work: No not as durable.

I stay away from the Igloo Overland coolers. I know you can't compare these to RTIC but these are junk. Super thin walls. Non insulated. I spend a little more for better build quality. My handles on the left broke after carrying with 10lb ice plus 2 24 pack of soda.

I purchased one for a 3 day camping trip in early june ambient temps around 90, prechilled the icechest for 12 hours. Filled with cold beer/drinks, and some frozen meat. Ice lasted the whole weekend, but once it started melting the drain spout was leaking. Returned it to walmart after the trip.

Hell no. They may cut it for keeping things cold, but the hinges, latches, and drains are absolute garbo. IMO, skip over all three and go with Orca or Pelican. All of my boating friends use nothing but Pelican. Orca's are just like yeti's but work better, and both pelican and orca's have a lifetime warranty.

RTIC does just fine and it's significantly cheaper than Orca or Pelican. I personally wouldn't waste the money for the more expensive brands but that's just me as a regular camper/boater in 80/90 degree weather.

Was excited to find the 25qt at Walmart for $59 given the lack of availability of their other brands and comparative pricing - was just going to buy it, but decided to check out the reviews - run! A lot of complaints of leaking at the plug - and in the last SD thread for this brand you can find the same comments (and I just noticed within this therad). I was bummed because for $59, I'd be a buyer otherwise.

Walmart also sella the Lifetime coolers. We went on a 4 day camping trip and my 55qt lifetime cooler performed as well if not better than my buddies Yeti.
