Mate, it's a night and day difference between setting up Kasa and the Hue stuff. Maybe you don't mind the "flip the light switch on and off 8 times while counting to 13" dance you have to do when setting up each bulb, heaven forbid there's something that messes up the wifi and you have to resync them all, but for a lot of people that's a big pain in the ass.

I've got a few different products from cheaper brands and the one word that can describe them all is: clunky

You know what the setup was for the Hue stuff? Literally just plugged the hub into my switch and downloaded the app. Everything else was configured out of the box. Was great. I haven't had to resync them ever... but those cheap Kasa and noname bulbs need resyncing every 6 months or so.

There also is overhead for most routers having to deal with active wifi connections. Consumer routers cap out at a surprisingly low number of clients. Yes, even "high end" ones. The frequency of the connection has little to do with it. If you only have a couple of bulbs it's nbd, but if you're swapping your house over, have smart speakers in every room, have a few people with phones, smart TVs, etc you will quickly hit these limits.
You'd prefer to have that overhead on your wireless router? You must not have many lights. Try pairing headphones when your lights are all BT as well, worse than doing it on the airplane.
Huh? They are included in the sale. They are the first item listed under "Bulbs" on the sale page, the 1600 lumen 100w equivalent.

Sadly no 100w bulbs. The 60w equivalents just don't produce enough light for my wife's liking.

Thanks! I grabbed some of the larger White Ambiance filament bulbs that rarely go on sale (and luckily needed exactly 3) = $33/each after tax. I was gonna get the white candelabra filament bulbs too, but word on the street is they're too orange. No discount on downlights still (and I ultimately need like 20+ for my new house)

Everything except the BR30's are overpriced to begin with. Those BR30's two packs are the best deal here. Maybe it's just inflation…

Yes it's expensive but definitely the best ones out there! I bought a few just to try them and the convenience of connection is unmatched as compared to several other brands I have used. Also the colors are good.

Ehhh…I should have stated I was looking to buy in packs as opposed to single bulbs to save a little more.

Do they make multipacks of the 100w bulbs? Haven't seen them anywhere.
