Decent specs. 8gb holds back the gaming potential.

Ok for office/school, but with another 8gb or ram, you could have added light gaming.

That was only $50 cheaper and same specs other than the I7 this has.

If you want it for gaming then buy one with a GPU.

i7 with 8gb ram. Some assemblers are sick!
It would cost $20 to add another 8 gb.

The upside of refurbished is you get a 2 year warranty from allstate (it's not expired, it's$395 now with 5 remaining). Downside of Allstate versus manufacturer is they won't send you parts you'll have to send in your laptop....
