Less garlic, more salt.
But even all the other spices and herbs are significantly cheaper. I know the answer is quality, but I can't tell the difference.

Truth spoken here. Garlic salt is a waste of money and cabinet space.
To answer somebody else's question about why this is cheaper - bulk. I'm certain that the spice merchant i go to has garlic salt by the pound for close to what you can get it for in a jar at the supermarket. I'd bet it's fresher and tastier too.
