Not that great of deal, it was 2497 for 77 this week at B&H
To which they are now discontinued on that website. The cheapest they have gone on Amazon or best buy so far is $2899, so this is only $100 more. The lowest was a 1 day sale which is when I got my 65in g1, but now I want a 77in so I exchanged it for this $2999 best buy deal. Yes, it's not exactly a "bottom dollar deal" but it's still a good price for a 77in Evo panel flagship OLED tv. The 77in LG c1 and Sony a80j at Costco are $2699 if you want those. But, the g1 is brighter than the c1 by a noticeable amount, better calibrated OOTB ($279 service to calibrate in my area) suffers less ABL than the Sony and produces better black detail than the Sony without raised blacks. It's a good buy if you want a step above the "standard" best sellers and can't get the tv calibrated without taking your tv an hour away.

I disagree 100%, this is a poor deal. It will be $2500 again and that's when to buy (but I still wouldn't)
$3000 gets you a brand new C2 which would be better than this.
Also you are posting a lot of misinformation, Sony A80J is better than the G1 no question in terms of picture and especially shadow detail, not to mention the extremely much better motion processing.
Also the G1 suffers pink tint from an angle, Sony not so much because of the filter they use on their LG Display.
