Yeah, I'd probably grab one if it supported ONVIF or at least had local access via a web interface but at this price I'd be surprise if it did.
Agreed & eventually higher up is going to be like "wtf?! Why are we losing money to provide a cloud for .... cameras ... seriously? Cameras? This statement is correct!?" and will kill their cloud and these things will be useless.
It seems like it isn't even possible to buy a camera anymore that isn't controlled by somebody else's cloud.
I mean, there is a fairly good reason. There's no way to make a consumer-friendly camera that is accessible outside the local network without an external cloud to help arrange the connection. (There are more reasons, too, but this one is the easiest to type.)
(Yes, you can do it, but these cameras would not be adopted if you had to understand and configure a dynamic DNS host, figure various things out about your router, etc.)
All reviews look paid. Anyone have this camera and can talk on the quality?
I don't own one but the videos on youtube shows its pretty mediocre. Looks to be worse than a Wyze v2 camera.
Looks to be ok for a indoor camera in a smaller room.
There's a whole bunch of smart(ass) devices from Energizer Connect which is just another vendor licensing the Energizer brand. The camera could be similar to wyze/xiaomi/clones. Also the resolution is 720p as per the official website.

Just looking at this for an extra, but the the energizer connect app sounds shotty at best.

I'm putting together a raspberry pi camera, so I can actually know who controls it.
If you can suggest anyone who is making discrete cameras that just output on the ONVIF protocol, I'd love to hear about it.
This just looks like an Energizer rebrand of the multitude of cheap chinese spyware cameras.

Like the SD storage but I assume you need the subscription to watch video remotely. Unless these can serve stored videos from local storage.
