I have one of these. The criss-cross straps across the bottom make the chair less comfortable than most other camping chairs I've sat in.
Or 20%. However you want to look at it.

20% from retail, yes. I guess it depends on whether you feel like taking into consideration that this price reduction isn't all that uncommon for this product.

Sounds like you have some decent experience - can I ask if you've found any that you really like which aren't extravagantly priced?

Just because something goes on sale a lot means that it isn't a good deal?

These Kijaro chairs at Target are $19-$21.50 if still available at your local store. Price online says $43, but they mostly scan for the lower price in-store, YMMV.

Just because something is marked down from retail means it *is* a good deal? In both cases the answer is no, it doesn't necessarily mean that. What I was getting at is that you shouldn't be duped into purchasing this just because you perceive the 20% markdown to be a rare deal. It isn't.

Additionally, I'd also suggest that assessing items only based on how much it's discounted from retail is *exactly* what companies want you to do. That's why so many have these perpetual sales; they want you to see the retail, and just assume that the item is actually worth that much money, and then assume that prices below that level are inherently a good deal. Really we should be paying much less attention to retail price vs discount price, and instead assessing items on their relative value when compared to similar products and asking "does this product offer a good value to price ratio?" In other words, is it good bang for you buck.

Based on reviews I've seen and competing items I personally wouldn't pick it up at this price. $10 to $15? Sure, if I needed a few infrequently used chairs for cheap, I'd consider them. At this price, probably not.

Oh and for the record, that cooler is little more than a gimmick.

Interesting, they were ringing up for $21.49 at Targets near me last week. Adding YMMV

What I was getting at was the comment which seemed to say it was 'only $5 off'. Which on a $25 item might not seem like a lot. But 20% is still 20%. If the item was $250 and it was $50 off.. I doubt you would hear.. it's 'only $50 off'. I'm not referencing anything about the value of the product. Of course you should still do research and not just oh it's 20% off.. I'm buying it.

Fair enough, I just wanted to make sure that was clear, because I think a lot of those thumbs up were probably from people believing you were suggesting that this product is a good value, (and using that as impetus to buy) when in reality it probably is not.

I was looking for chairs for camping trip a few weeks ago and tired these chairs at local Walmart. They were comfortable to sit on but bigger than what I was looking for (cargo space was limited for car camping ) and also I really didn't need attached coolers. So, I bought other chairs (around $18) from Walmart.

I think 20% off is good price for these chairs.

If it had a built in urinal you wouldn't have to leave the chair and it'd be a real slick deal. 😂
