No man, the last season was so awful. The greatness of the previous seasons only amplified the awfulness.

They just shit into a perfect ice cream sundae and expect everyone to enjoy the ice cream underneath.

It's HD only on iTunes. I don't believe iTunes currently has any 4K TV shows. Being a primarily iTunes user makes upgrading my VUDU digital not worth it for my family. VUDU also only has Game of Thrones in HDR and not Dolby Vision.

Exactly. My only beef was the last season. It started with the battle at Winterfell being so flippin dark. From that point forward, the writing was toilet. It culminated with the finale, which was the worst of the entire series, including the video production team fail with Cersei and Jamie in the basement (trying not to spoil it).

The first few seasons are worth watching, but I would say that once "someone turned off the AC", it did become a cluster. I can still stomach the last few episodes even knowing how bad it ends. I would say that they could've done themselves a favor and given closure to some of the characters in a better manner.

I'm just glad it didn't end inside a snow globe being held by an autistic kid or with the main characters in prison for breaking a good Samaritan law.

Everyone still watched it though, which was their goal, to get the viewers, and they succeeded in that. As soon as they knew they were ending the series, no need to make it any semblance of previous greatness, since they know they already has us all hooked, we'd see it through to the end regardless. GOT simply turned into a spouse that starts letting themselves go the moment they say I do. Don't underestimate the power of emotional attachment to something of drastically declining quality. The Walking Dead has made an entire successful (monetarily speaking) tv series and even multiple shitty spin-offs on this business model for over half a decade now.
