I would not call "American Spirit" misleading marketing jargon. The watch is a classic American style.
It's important to remember that Hamilton was founded in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 1892.
Hamilton was an official supplier of timepieces to the US Armed Forces during WW1 and WW2.
A Hamilton aeronautical watch was also present on the first US Airmail service between New York and Washington DC.
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig along with the rest of the NY Yankees were gifted Hamilton watches in 1928 for winning the World Series.
Elvis Presley wore a Hamilton Ventura.
Hamilton watches appeared in many American movies. Men in Black, Independence Day, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon 4, 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Frogmen.
They didn't relocate to Switzerland until 2003.
The"American Spirit" style pays homage to its heritage and rightfully so.
Just sayin....
People who enjoy the finer things in life and can afford it. Not people like you
I guess I'm one of those old guys who developed the habit of wearing a watch and looking at his wrist to see what time it is. And occasionally the date without it telling me my messages and heart rate and who has liked my latest tik tok post. Watches are probably more for people who care about what THEY are doing rather than seeing WHAT EVERYONE ELSE is doing.

I think a lot of people are just uneducated about timepieces and the engineering that goes into them. It's taken for granted in the modern era but the inner workings of a nice watch are works of art.

True. I just shake my head at these ignorant opinions. Everyone has something they value more than others.
Some people splurge on food, cars, jewelry, video games, etc. To some it's a waste of $, for others it's what they enjoy. Leave them be
That's cringe. No one cares about or even notices your watch besides other materialistic people you are trying to impress
Who said anything about impressing? If you appreciate the quality of watches, or maybe it's clothing, or maybe it's wine. Who knows. You're going to spend the $$.

This is why you're wrong: Craftsmanship is dead, mass production has won.
You can try to put an arbitrary value on something "expensive" based on legacy, but what good is it if the particular thing you buy was only really cared about for a couple minutes during the process?
You can try to justify that value with serialization and "limited releases", but come on... we all know the factory making these keeps right on going.
There's a reason whiskey barrels have had a 10% increase in volume over the past 60 years. And it's not because they magically got better at making the stuff.
It's alright to like nice things, but your barrier for entry is just you being a pompous jerk.

My smart watch tells me the time and my heart rate for when I'm working out, just because it have features, you don't have to use them grumpy old man.
nice watch. "american spirit" and all that, but hamilton is owned by the swatch group, and this watch is made in switzerland. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. Just pointing out the potentially misleading marketing jargon.
The swiss are culturally approriating american things. Get them!

Can you please translate your statement to English? Oh wait, you probably can't and that is why you don't understand the sale.
