Men don't need to specifically avoid foods containing iron (it's an essential nutrient, but one we typically get enough of in our diet). They just should be careful about taking iron supplements, which tend to have several times the recommended daily allowance. This only has 20% of the USRDA of iron in each serving, so probably about 2 mg, which is hardly going to cause any issues. An OTC iron supplement might have 45 mg (250% USRDA), and a prescription one could have much more than that.

It's a food with 2 mg of iron. That is 20-25% of what an adult male is supposed to consume on a daily basis in order to be healthy. It's like 2 oz of steak. You're arguing that a 2 oz steak will cause an iron overdose?

Looks like this light version is the one with artificial sweetener compared to the regular one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1

Yeah thanks for sending the comparison. the OP's has less carbs and more protein. People can do their own research on artificial sweeteners, but for me they are better for me than the amount of glucose syrup in the higher calorie one.

I have to mention this whenever this stuff goes on sale, it contains IRON, which is not good for men, unless you have an iron deficiency.
Why not good for men?

The first paragraph;

"Iron supplements are beneficial for people with iron deficiency anemia, who don't get adequate amounts of iron in their diet or who simply need extra iron during a certain life stage. However, the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse, or NDDIC, states that men are more at risk for a hereditary condition that causes excess iron to build up in the vital organs. Adult men should not take iron supplements unless recommended to do so by a doctor."

This post is a supplement which contains iron, clearly stated as something to be avoided unless specified by a doctor. Are you a medical doctor? "Hardly going to cause any issues" is bad advice.

Exactly. Low carbs is good if you are a diabetic, and iron is bad if you have hemochromatosis. Plus it tastes so watery. I couldn't stand it. Stick with my Atkins for now.

The "are you a ______?
Needs to be added to the logical fallacy list. Weak!
