During the boiling process some sugarers use additives to ease the process (anti foaming mostly). Also the materials used in production have to be certified as organic grade. It is allowed to add a filter aide still when pressing the final product help remove particulate and keep the syrup flowing through the sheets freely before needing to be replaced, and still be considered organic

I paid $10.78 for 32oz at Sam's last week, for a reference point. Definitely cheaper there, if you have membership.

Looked like a good deal until I noticed that it was only 16oz, lol. As others have said, maple syrup is cheaper at Sam's, Costco, or BJ's.

What's "Grade A dark"? I thought Grade B was dark and Grade A was light/clear color.
